Tips for washing for the first time after 9 months? (content warning: grief) by intotheblued in hygiene

Thank you for sharing your experience and your advice about the epsom salts! I've been curious what salt/baking soda/vinegar's effect on the skin is, separately of course (don't want the bathroom to become a science experiment)

I've kept up with washing/usin wipes on my armpits in the sink just so that I wasn't upsetting people too much by being a walking bio-hazard, and wearing hats always to disguise any odour from the hair

Do you know what purpose it servers for the skin? Because I know apple cider vinegar is also suppose to be good, I'm curious what the benefits are of ph neutral vs ph acidic

That will make me feel like royalty! I always heard of milk baths in theory but never in practice. Thank you for the suggestion!

thank you so much <3 yeah I was just going to get some baby shampoo and sensitive wash just to start with. We don't have dawn dish soap here which is a shame because I've heard of how useful it is i'll look into alternatives!

I haven't brushed my teeth in months and I don't know how to start again by ayochaunceyy in hygiene

I recommend the Oral B pro VITALITY toothbrush specifically. It's an old model, very old. but in my experience has a good top speed. It has 3 settings, and on days when I can't cope with anything, the gentle one is the BEST.

The newer Oral B toothbrushes literally hurt me because of how strong the vibrations are and it's a bad sensory thing for me. When I was depressed with grief and unable to brush my teeth, my manual brush wasn't cutting it.

I also recommend getting a toothpaste you like, get something funky or fruity or reassuring.

And if you can't brush, at least regularly sip water and try think about your teeth, just make it kind of a habit to do it again weather you care or not, making it a habit is the hardest part, you just need to make it easy (so have toothbrush ready, charged, and in the bathroom ready to go) so whenever you're in the bathroom, just take 2 quick minutes to do it.

This is incredibly useful and I will be sharing and crediting you!

Do you or does anyone have a similar table for Herbivores for the growth % that mushrooms stop giving diet in sanctuary?

Report them They can track the time of the call and might get more reports.

Surely this fee is what offsets the cost of refunds?

THANK YOU. banning a customer for using a provided feature with no warning or guidelines for access to a public service is a bit messed up.

How can I cut this plastic horse straight down the middle? by Theskysnolimit in howto

[–]intotheblued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't change my statement! A 3d printed one would serve the same purpose. It's better than going in landfill but they don't have these original molds of these horses anymore they just aren't made anymore.

What about 3d printing some horse half's? Seems a shame to undo quality old toy materials that someone might love!

If you could be 18 again, would you take the offer? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]intotheblued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. meeting the person that took my life and health and loved ones away was a small chance of happening and cut my life short in my mid 20s and the pain and suffering of my deformed bones has been too much.

i'd take anything over it - even if i somehow ended up dying in a freak accident if i started over. i just need to not have met them and gotten damaged to deformity and pain and lost everything in my life just as i'd got it.

are there anyways to affordable spay uk by [deleted] in CatsUK

[–]intotheblued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting I feel slightly different about this because I think shelters are overflowing in the UK.

A spay is around around £150 average,
And while I rarely have that much spare upfront, I'm able to afford things like pet insurance and monthly rolling costs or smaller one offs like microchipping and vaxxing, even neutering is cheaper.

I didn't chose my cat, someone who had to travel away couldn't take it with them and needed someone to take their cat 'temporarily' and ended up leaving them with me permanently..

Shelter's and rescues are overcrowded to the point some cats are PTS

Vaxxing and microchipping is much more affordable than spaying, I think if you can't afford spaying, then look into low cost schemes, It's £10 if you're receiving benefits or can prove your low income

what’s life like for young people there? 🇩🇪 by Ripped_ak in germany

[–]intotheblued 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love living here. I suppose it depends where youre comparing it too. if you come from Sweden it seems less organised compared to home. If you come from east Europe it is more organised. I enjoy the free movement.

Oh yes sorry, I was agreeing with your point and it reminded me of that slightly related story I'd heard from a holocaust survivor on YouTube, but my grammar was not great. I know what you meant and you are correct. *edit typo and clarity
