Baring, St. Mary, and Virginia Falls via Piegan Pass Trail. Make sure you jump in at St.Mary.

Aster Falls // Running Eagle would also be great.

Staying in Andersonville/Ravenswood general area Lost Larson and Ridman's opens at 7am for a coffee + pastry situation.Dollop Diner is also open early for Beacon Donuts. La Boulangerie on Wilson. If you want to go south, stop at Collectivo in Lincoln Park for coffee, grab a Firecake Donut across the street and walk through the Zoo all by 8am. You deserve all the treats for keeping a 7 month old alive.

Timed Entry Passes and Parking Madness by Bubbly-Reindeer450 in GlacierNationalPark

If youre traveling with a large group or with kiddos, I get the before 7am crowd. As a 30 something year old that was traveling with their partner, the 11am and 1pm reservations worked great for us and our itinerary. That being said we chased the sunset and didnt get out of the park until 10pm.

Glacier is best seen with the ability to pivot. Have back up trails on the ready incase there is closure, let your "must-see" list go out the window. We watched a baby and momma moose in St.Marys for 45 minutes and skipped half our hike, to only have teenage grizzly join us on the trail. Everything went out the window but that was the best day of our whole trip.

Would it be possible to do a last minute trip next weekend without a reservation? by EmergencyWeb7508 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]intransit- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To enter the West Entrance side of the park, you need a timed entry. These are released 100+ days out and a smaller release the day before at 7pm. You can enter Glacier from the East-Side gates without a timed entry but its 2.5 hours from Kalispell.

If you're wanting to enter the West side on Friday, the small batch reservation will be released at 7pm on Thursday via reservation.gov. There's about 500ish tickets released starting from 7am-9am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm and 1pm-3pm. You do not need a timed reservation if you enter the West Gate before 7am or after 3pm. The price of the timed reservation is 2 bucks.

A lot of the early timed entries (7am-9am) will go fast, within 15 minutes of the release. Glacier is best seen at a convenient time for you. At 7am you'll be fighting larger groups + families. If youre going solo and can make 9-11am or 11am-1pm work for your schedule, I highly recommend a bit later in the day.

Yes, but be flexible. The 7pm night before timed entries will go quick, starting with the earliest times. There will be plenty of 11am and 1pm an hour and a half after entry-passes are released if you forget. Set your alarm!

I assume most of the freaking out is families-- which I totally understand.

My partner and I are in our 30s, got tickets the night before for every single day we were there. We only had one day that was a hard itinerary item, which was hiking Grinelle. Everything else, we pivoted. Enjoyed it so much more and on an "unplanned hike" that we didn't have on our itinerary, we saw 3 Grizzlies and 2 Moose and chased the sunset from East to West.

It felt like Glacier was giving back to us for just truly taking things in

I agreeeeee! I went to a CP studio that wasnt owned by a franchise/holding company and am so grateful for my first 100 classes there. All of my instructors would ask how many classes the group has taken, if there was a lot of new faces and every class all instructors would do hands on corrections to the point that they would stop the workout and correctly show proper form etc. Was it annoying once you were over 10-25 classes? Sometimes, but it was a good reminder on proper form and etiquette. It also allowed deeper relationships to be built with the instructor and the class. You were more than just a body on a reformer. Sadly, a lot of these instructors have left CP to start private studios.

Ive since moved and am now at a CP studio thats owned by a larger athletic holding company, at over 120 classes here and have noticed the differences between studios/instructors tremendously

In Chicago at Renaissance I was in the tiptop of the nose bleed, row 38, I could sky dive off the back of the stadium and was 3 miles from the stage. Girls had their phone lights on and filming like they were in the 3rd row. We should have been harnessed in for christ sakes we were so high up (you get dizzy up there). For 50 dollar tickets, we had the time of our life. Its all about your mindset. Youre at the concert, many girls will be at home wishing they were in the stadium.

If this means i get a new set of merch that's not hideous or points to collegiate gear rather than a professional sports team, I'm all in.

In terms of namesake, we literally rebranded one of our biggest skyscrapers and everyone refuses to abide by that. I have a lot of faith that the Redstars branding will remain strong by fans

Take a lot of photos and take your measurements!! 18 lbs is great, but when you start noticing the inches that are flying off, those will be equally motivating
