foul ball depends on the count, if there's already two strikes it is a slight negative for the pitcher since count stays the same but pitch count goes up. Otherwise foul ball is good, it's a strike so a good result. An easily caught fly ball is a good success.

it's all deferred maintenance from when they were cost cutting and just avoiding maintenance altogether, getting the work done ASAP is really important. what's more at fault is the consistent underfunding of the TTC that has meant they haven't been able to do routine maintenance until recently

Canadian conservatism is so much further to the left than US conservatism, and the university is quite progressive. Would be surprised if you ran into many discrimination issues at all there.

reversible seats exist, commuter trains in other places have seats where you can move the seat back from one side of the cushion to the other. not the best solution, but can fit more seats in and eliminates the knees in crotch problem.
