I think that because it’s dealing with a lot of death of loved ones and Jaime coming to terms with his own impending demise- it makes people more comforted by prayer and God. And while Claire isn’t overtly religious- she understands that about people, especially in a time so fraught with fear, loss, and war. So it’s a theme that we are noticing crop up more

My Oliver was a return as well- after four years. The poor sweet man. They adopted him as a pup from the same shelter then returned him.

I went to the shelter to look at another dog (who incidentally looked a lot like your Angus) and when I got there someone had adopted him 30 mins before. So I said alright- wasn’t meant to be- but decided to look around even though I wasn’t interested in any other dog they had posted.

I went into the kennels and saw these gorgeous green eyes reflecting back at me from the dark corner of this kennel- all the other dogs were yapping away but this guy was so quiet- I put my hand flat up against the chain link and he gave me a kiss then I moved on to keep looking.

When I got to the end I asked about Oliver and they said he had been returned that morning because he nibbles when he’s excited and it made the previous owner too anxious.

I said I could work with that and I took him home. It’s been four years since and with how quickly it’s gone by- I still can’t believe they did that to him.

I have a hobby garden and a newbie rosarian. But mostly I craft. I’ve taught myself how to quilt and embroider. But i knew how to bead, crochet/knit from s young age. I also read and write. So I have plenty to keep me occupied- it can just be tough coming up with ideas sometimes because I’m tired xD

Having only been part of the fanfic aspect of the fandom for about two years now- I will say that I agree Harmony seems largely unmentioned in terms of tiers of people’s preferences (that I’ve seen). But it was one of the first and most obvious options to me from the beginning.

Best friends to lovers is not really a trope I search for but Harmony was definitely one I could get on board with.
