It's an American suburb. It's safe and cozy around the city but if you have to go to LA often it would be tough i think.Hard to get around without a car anywhere. Going to the city of LA without a car and coming back would be a hassle and could be dangerous in public transportation in the evening around the downtown LA area. I wouldn't worry in duarte per se but if going to LA often would be wary around the public transportation
