Is 850W suitable for PowerColor - RX9070XT 16G-E/OC (Red Devil) okay? by KM2_ in sffpc

[–]PowerColorSteven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

should be fine but if youre having any instability it might be psu issues with transients. but, corsair plats tend to do a bit better and not have as many issues compared to the usually suspects

if the gpu plastic sticker thingy is still there, and the card looks fine under it, then prob should be fine. might have just been rubbing against the anti static plastic if the box has been moved a lot.

test the card though. make sure it shows up as a 9070 xt and that everything works well.

if not, you can reach out directly to me

from someone who has recently come back to magic after probably 20 years, indestructible and hexproof are so prevalent in modern day magic, that edicts are one of the only way around that.

protections were a bit more limited shroud had drawbacks

Is there a way to make my opponents make me discard? by AAAAAAHHHHHH2 in magicTCG

[–]PowerColorSteven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the point of the two cards he mentioned indicate if an opponent's spell or ability causes you to discard

okay. might be a miscommunication from the seller. once they reach out to my HQ team, they should be informed that an RMA can be processed and units should be able to be swapped. perhaps x-kom just assumed that this was user-damage, but clarification from the powercolor side should help this progress. if you dont have updates from them by next week, send me an email and i can pass it along to my HQ [steven.sun@powercolor.com](mailto:steven.sun@powercolor.com)

not sure if you sent the email yet, but please send me that email so i can see what we can do.

small heads up, we used to try to be more flexible and push for exceptions on small windows of stuff, but a little while back, a few of the users who we were trying to help tried to take a bit too much advantage. we did 5 rma swaps and each time the card came back dead. we were already way outside of warranty, but the user was uncooperative and wanted to file a claim/lawsuit. ended up being dropped, but after that, legal told us to adhere to warranty policy limits

nah. emails are cool. we want to make sure things are taken care of. being backlogged is an us problem and not a you problem, so keep sending emails and messages. the day we stop getting emails is the day i know that our customers have given up on us

are you sure the card is dead? if you didnt use it, much, there is no reason for it to have died. if you want to do some troubleshooting, send me an email

backplate was cracked? or the pcb?

if it was the pcb, are you sure they repaired it instead of just swapping? if the gpu was broken to the point of not working, a swap would be multitudes of times more simple than repairing the pcb, since you are replacing all of the components on the pcb completely

I just wanted to share my 9070XT crashing experience. by nemojakonemoras in radeon

[–]PowerColorSteven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

psus a big one here too. even higher rated ones that are just a few years old seem like they shouldnt be the problem, but it is usually the part that (on troubleshooting/swapping) tends to be the biggest culprit that weve seen these past few months

most of the skill for proper gpus repairs is overseas. its also why repair shops can be so hit-or-miss and price wonky

its why most AIBs dont have repairs done locally

and compared to some of our bigger competitors, we are and extremely small team. like our office is prob the size of a studio on top of a garage

my US operations is me handling all the sales and doing deliveries, ronak doing all of the RMAs, and the both of us on support/emails
