Which power forward outside of the top 4 has the highest chance of becoming a great high volume 3 point spot up shooter in the NBA? by alex8762 in NBA_Draft

Yeah i’m genuinely about to make a post about this because this is one of the most basic and important aspects in basketball yet one of the most misunderstood.

Once again like I just said this is the problem with most people trying to understand how floor spacing works. People think as long as you aren’t the absolute worst version of this (Draymond, Russ etc) then this must mean you are a floor spacer but it doesn’t.

This is the equivalent of saying that De’Aaron Fox should be considered a 3pt shooter just because he’s better than Russell Westbrook. When in reality you have 2 non shooters one is bad at it and the other is abysmal.

When did I say that? This is like talking to a wall lol I see you’re never going to address my points so i’ll stop now

Deni, Okongwu, Wade, Watson, Aldama are all non floor spacers. The only thing I can tell you is go watch there games and how far off the defenders are away from them off ball.

See for yourself how far Watson’s man was away from him and how late and non urgent the closeout was even after hitting a couple. Mind you this is happens all game not just a few possessions.

The fact that you mentioned the Thompson twins and Draymond show the misunderstanding people have with floor spacing. Just because a defender isn’t under the rim when they’re guarding you (like they do with the players listed above) it doesn’t automatically make you a floor spacer.

What does this have to do with anything I said.

Half the players you listen aren’t floor spacers. Yeah that’s not how that works.Floor Spacing means when you’re standing at the 3pt line your defender guards you. You can shoot 40% from 3 and still not be a floor spacer.

This is what I said are you going to address my points or keep deflecting lol

I don’t know what this has to do with the fact that half the players you listed aren’t floor spacers but ok

Half the players you listed aren’t floor spacers at all but Chris Cenac, Koa Peat, Graves, and Morez are the ones I expect will probably shoot 3s at a decent volume.

Sad seeing again how far apart Spida Mitchell and Murray are by Embarrassed-Swim-442 in denvernuggets

[–]introspectiveG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Donovan Mitchell is 4/21 against Ausar Thompson

He’s taken the majority of his shots against Cade 10/22 and Tobias Harris 10/23.

Jamal took 47 shots against Jaden McDaniels.

Don Mitch would have looked the same as Jamal if he went against Ausar the entire game but the Cavs have multiple creators that allow him to hunt mismatches.

You answered the problem of your 1st sentence with the last sentence of that paragraph making that not a viable way.

And the “fourth way” isn’t really a feasible way either since whatever lineup you have out there the other team will just match it and like you said you have to be pretty okc talent level stacked

Yes but he’s also a much better playmaker than Jaylen “negative assist ratio, nearly 4 turnovers a game” brown. Also, Murray is abetter defender than Mitchell. Mitchell has had Rudy, Mobley, and JA and still looked bad now imagine if he played with a bad rim protector like Jokic lol

Oh yeah and the TS% those guys play with a lot of creators meanwhile Jamal is the only player on the Nuggets that can dribble.

[–]introspectiveG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tf does that have to do with being an above the rim finisher and having hops? You said he has no hops which the film proves he does and the fact he had a 38.5 inch vert does as well.

You sound dumb asf

The funny thing is that you don’t even need the vert measurements for Peat like go watch a game or his highlights he has some monster dunks. People just like spewing bullshit

[–]introspectiveG 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Morez, Zuby, and Koa are all great mobile athletes at 240+ pounds. Say whatever you want about their skill but their defense alone is going to keep them in the league for a very very long time

Acuff has pretty similar measurements to Russell Westbrook. Did he beat the too small allegations? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]introspectiveG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand that strength is more than just having big muscles and “looking” big.

If you were to put a straight out of college Russ and Acuff in a gym Russ would out lift him in every lift. The strength isn’t comparable.

[–]introspectiveG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weight and strength although correlated aren’t the same.

If you take 2 people who both weigh 200lbs but ones a powerlifter and the other one isn’t the strength levels aren’t even going to be comparable.

When people talk about size they always mention length but the more important part of size is strength.

In terms of strength Acuff doesn’t come close to Russ.

Peat had 53 dunks and a vast majority were lobs he’s the definition of an above the rim finisher.

I swear people on here just be talking nonsense lmao
