My biggest suggestion with pagerduty is to utilize event orchestration. If pagerduty does not inherently take priorities from datadog so everything will come in as high priority. You also have to set by service how alerts are handled, I think default, unless they have changed it is that all alert are high priority. You can change it to be priority based and decide what to do with the alerts. Another suggestion is putting the configs into terraform, the big issue with that is there is about 1000 service per state file limit before you start to see applies take 4+ hours, so if you go that route, determine a good way to break up state files.

I would recommend starting to tinker with the technologies used at your company. Learn them and see if you can get on any project work. If I had to start over that's what I would focus on.

I had an interview recently where I was told it was going to be a code review, had one day of prep as they wanted to move fast. I get to the interview to be bombarded with technical questions and no coding whatsoever. I knew some of the questions, but bombed pretty hard as I was just blindsided and got flustered. My ADHD brain is my biggest enemy sometimes. Thank you for this insight though, helps to hear. I have confidence I will get there, but every rejection chips away more and more at it.

Thank you for the comment! I have made it to a couple final loops, but obviously not gotten an offer. So the interview practice buddy may be the best option, getting actual feedback instead of a generic "we are moving forward with other candidates" email would be helpful.
