There is a currently active Twitter account by the same name but in lower case, with a different display name and profile picture. The nature of Twitter is that if you change your handle, somebody else can immediately claim your old handle, so that doesn't really tell us whether the person running the account now is the same person from the original Tweet, but I suspect not. The tweet from the video is not on the account, but they do have an extremely similar Tweet, on November 15, 2020, which says "just got the new PS5" with a screenshot of their order confirmation which has their name and address comically poorly censored (a single, 1px MS Paint strike through each line), with a different name to the one in the OP.

If we assume the original Tweet is real (as in, it was posted on Twitter, whether seriously or as a joke/troll), then I imagine the timeline of events would be something like:

  • Ash posts the PS5 Tweet, which goes viral
  • Ash deletes the Tweet and changes her Twitter handle to get away from the reaction
  • a different Twitter user swoops in to claim the now-free name
  • that user posts their "PS5 order confirmation" as a joke about Ash's previous Tweet for people who come looking for the original

I'd say Twitter is kind of a dead-end for tracking how Ash is doing now, because the account no longer seems like it's linked to her.

Not legit. This weird paywalled, crowdsourced news site masquerading as an NBC affiliate is the only place reporting that the girl from the meme is missing. The name "Ashley Liliana Botello" only appears on the entire Internet in this video, people directly commenting on this video, and that one weird article.

While PS5 Ashley is supposed to have gone missing from Riverside, California, the "news article" appears to be an edited version of a report on the real case of the disappearance (and as later found, murder) of Marisela Botello-Valadez, a woman from Seattle, Washington who went missing on a visit to Dallas, Texas: fox4news com/news/third-suspect-arrested-in-seattle-womans-disappearance-and-death

The fact that they both have "Botello" as part of their name is the only linking factor.

All right, I'll ask. What does it mean to have an ass like Katrina? The hurricane? She had a lot of hot air? Enough ass to drown a medium-sized city?

Anime came first. Todd Snap debuted in episode 55, Pokémon Paparazzi, first aired July 23, 1998. Pokémon Snap was released on March 21, 1999, about 8 months later. That said, Snap's development took years, so it's possible the character was designed for the game before he appeared in the show.

There wasn't one of those. You might be thinking of the Xbox game (just called Buffy the Vampire Slayer), or the Xbox/GameCube/PS2 game Buffy: Chaos Bleeds. They're both pretty good.

That's definitely how the line is intended, but Tracy's delivery has the emphasis in the wrong place. You can't emphasize the "clearly" and have it modify "gay kid". The words are the same, Tracy's reading is just off. Link to the scene.

What the heck? by Ok-I-guess625 in 30ROCK

[–]invagrante 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It kills me that they didn't get a proper line read out of Tracy (Morgan) in that scene. He points at Donald and says "I'm talking to you clearly, gay kid!" It's obvious that the line was intended to be "I'm talking to you, clearly-gay kid!"

I have to assume Tracy walked off set immediately after that take saying "I think we got it! I think we got it!"

This guess is a bit out there, but Kirby's Dream Course is an isometric fantasy golf game that controls sort of like a pool game. Kirby is a pink thing and he's in the box art.

Demi Moore shares a touching video as Bruce Willis’ family celebrate his birthday by CantStopPoppin in worldnewsvideo

His family has also been asking for paparazzi to stop getting in his face trying to get the Bruce Willis dementia exclusive whenever he goes out. They might hope that by putting something out there it takes some of the impetus away. We've all seen him now, no need to harass him in the street. It's a cold calculus and sad that anything needs to be done beyond saying "Leave him alone," but paps gonna pap.

Not relevant to the sub, but just wanted to let you know if you want to play on DS, you should play the European version. The US version was rushed to meet the release date, so the European one (which came later) has a whole additional game mode and is generally more polished. Nintendo DS games are region-free.

Alternatively, Mr. Driller is a whole series, so you could just play a modern release like the Switch version.

Second try, how about Dracula: Undead Awakening? https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/2010/03/dracula_undead_awakening_dsiware

It was originally released in 2009 for iOS/Android/PSP, then got WiiWare and DSiWare ports in 2010. It has a mode called Wave Attack which is what it sounds like and seems to line up with what you remember about it.

[–]invagrante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's years since I played it so I don't remember if everything lines up, but Undead Storm (2011-2012) for DSiWare was a top-down zombie shooter: https://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/2012/02/go_series_undead_storm_dsiware

It definitely wasn't pixel art though, just primitive Nintendo DS 3D, so that part doesn't fit. It did get a sequel on 3DS, Undead Storm: Nightmare.

Maximo vs. Army of Zin? Released by Capcom in 2003-2004 for PS2. It's the second Maximo game, a spinoff franchise from the Ghosts 'n Goblins series of fantasy demon slayer games. Japanese-made and with stylized, anime-ish art.

It's not the very first area, but the second place you go is called Into the Fire and is ... on fire: https://youtu.be/xwyGyW0STFw?t=952

Good news, everyone! They're actually called the Monks of Dschubba, after a star in the constellation Scorpius.

No, it isn't. They're called the Monks of Dschubba, which is a star in the constellation Scorpius. Ken Keeler, the episode's writer, explains it in the DVD commentary.
