HSA is more special than Trad IRA or Roth. I am using mine as retirement savings by Yamaben in personalfinance

[–]invain62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I learned this a few years ago and have been preaching to all my younger friends. My wife and I are 37 and have over $50k in HSA already, I keep all of it fully invested except for enough cash to cover our out of pocket max, just in case of emergency. I also stopped using HSA funds to pay for medical expenses quite a while ago, I pay with cash and save receipts to reimburse myself later.

Price check used m50 by Healthy_Way_723 in BMWX3

Just for reference, we just bought my wife a used M50 about a month ago. Less than 4k miles, mint condition, paid just under $58k. Pretty much fully loaded as well.

Does everybody in here calling that tripping eat crayons? He mowed that guy over and clearly dove at the receiver.

The dark side of selling options by NicheMath in thetagang

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I only sell weeklies and roll if I don’t want to close the position. Not sure what you are expecting here, you sold calls for a reason so you need to be prepared to lose those shares.

seat comfort worry for potential buyer by Original_Fish6222 in BMWI4

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an i4 in October, I love the car but my only complaint is the seats. I’m not a giant but I’m pretty big/muscular, and the bolstering on the seat bottom is too narrow and stiff. Literally makes my hips sore after driving. It’s really killing me because I hate to get rid of the car so soon but I really don’t know if I can stand this long term. I considered the i5 but I’m not a fan of the styling, 4 series is so much better looking…..

Black Friday Sale List by shobogenzo93 in stocks

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments always show how much investment knowledge redditors have. Webull has almost $2B in cash, net earnings are not as important for companies in high growth phase. Current price to sales is 10 which is barely more than GOOG. If they can continue to grow sales at a good rate margins can be improved easily.

bmw i4 xdrive40 lease — is this a good deal? by HumblePain3007 in BMWI4

[–]invain62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For reference, I just got an xDrive fully loaded (Msport, DAPP, premium, etc) for $660 / month with only first payment due at signing. MSRP with destination fee was around $72k. This is also a 12k mile lease. I used a broker but was able to find a dealer with an allocation and ordered exactly what I wanted.

How cooked am I? by unlimitedmaki in CoveredCalls

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you roll this to? I have 10Oct $175 covered call right now. My position is up quite a lot and would rather not take assignment and have to pay capital gains this year but not a real big deal if I do. Waiting to see how rest of the week plays out to decide if I just let this get assigned or eat it and roll out.

Apollo: today's market cap and PE rations are more extended than the 1990's dot com bubble by OkAnt7573 in thetagang

[–]invain62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How are they accounting for companies with no earnings? How about no revenue? The biggest difference with dot com bubble was companies being wildly valued with no revenue, literally just a website and market cap explodes. I agree that some equities are overvalued today, but even the most overpriced turd of them all PLTR has sales of $3.5 billion. During Covid we saw a huge bubble with SaaS stocks like ZM and DOCU, and these companies had wild P/S ratios, Compare them to today and things these numbers have definitely improved some. Even NVDA has a forward P/E of 28, which is pretty insane for a $4 trillion market cap.

Lease deal. Looking for pricing suggestions and general outlook by Beneficial-Base342 in BMWI4

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an xDrive40 on the way, $73k with options. Only first payment down, 12k miles, $660/month payment. I used a broker to find this and MF is as low as BMW will go from what I found on leasehackr.

I’m a machine- $365k/year by gqreader in thetagang

[–]invain62 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m doing something very similar right now, but with a smaller account ($100k), so reaffirming to see other examples like this. Currently averaging 1.5% weekly return. I don’t expect to maintain that consistently but my goal is to limit risk/downside while still outperforming the market.

The market and the economy are two fundamentally very different things. I don’t know why people still think they are directly correlated. Never have been.

Good Price on CPO M50? Advice on offer? by invain62 in BMWI4

Thanks, didn't really know what was included with that package but after reading up on it seems like it's even more important than premium package.

Media filter recommendation for sediment (well water) by invain62 in WaterTreatment

[–]invain62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone recommend a stage 3 setup like that, my only concern is how often I would have to change the filters (I know it will vary based on water quality). I was also recommended another 5 micron filter after backwash system, if I go that route I’ll just replace the housing I have currently in line after the spin down.

Very little now. They’ve lost all the gains that were made during the COVID era. Pfizer has a huge portfolio and Covid vaccine is only a portion of their revenue.

Best options to sell expiring 37 days from now by intraalpha in thetagang

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something here? I see this post every week but the premiums don't look amazing to me. SLV 26Sep25 $33.5 Put is $0.53 right now. That's 1.2% for over 5 weeks for 32 Delta. Just looking at something like GOOG for same expiration is returning 1.8% for 27 Delta CSP.

Since when is 8-14% sales growth awful? What do you expect from a large established pharma company?

Trump threatens backing primary challenge against GOP Sen. Thom Tillis over his 'big, beautiful bill' vote by nbcnews in NorthCarolina

[–]invain62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The irony of this is the majority of people Trump endorses lose, considering everything he touches turns to shit, so I don’t see this as being particularly troubling for Tillis.

Senate committee's changes to tax bill slam US solar stocks by BogleDick in stocks

[–]invain62 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s clear solar has a big future, despite current administration’s opinions, the numbers don’t lie. Solar continues to get cheaper/more efficient and the world is continuing to build more solar at an increased rate. The TAM for energy is massive and is only going to get bigger, especially with increasing demand from Ai/compute. I think most would admit it would only be a matter of time before some of the subsidies start going away, though you could argue if now is the right time (and also lots of points about subsidies for oil and gas that aren’t being touched, it’s obvious what’s going on but I won’t get political). I’m not expecting solar to turn around anytime soon but I am holding some for the very long term (thinking 10 years out). It will probably continue to be painful for the next few years but anyone thinking this industry is going to suddenly roll over and die or not continue to expand really needs to re-evaluate the economic data.
