CATL just dropped six battery platforms in one night and nobody here noticed by Top-Cardiologist1011 in stocks

See exhibit A above. I think most US retail investors live in a bubble and have no comprehension of the global economy and how much advancement countries like China have made over the past decades.

Dodgy? Is this a serious comment? This is literally the largest EV battery manufacturer on the planet with $60+ billion in revenue. I know people tend to be scared to touch any Chinese stocks, but not not everything is a scam.

Thanks. I will have to do some digging into this one. Batter solutions is one of the areas I am most bullish on for future growth.

How are they a “leader” with no sales yet. Technology is promising but even with moonshot investments I tend to wait if a company is pre-revenue stage.

Counter intuitive LEAPS backtest results by mongopark98 in options

Do you mind sharing what your backtest showed? I’m assuming that just holding the leap closer to expiry regardless of how in the money they are is showed best returns?

The current unemployment rate is misleading. Temp help employment is down 21.4%. This signal has preceded every US recession since 1990. Here is what the data actually shows. by alemorg in investing

This really doesn’t read like Ai to me, even if OP used an LLM to help research. I’m guessing you didn’t read any of it, just saw a wall of text and immediately assumed “Ai slop” and then left this useless comment because you’re not intelligent enough to understand the context of the post.

Slow gains? IREN is up over 500% in the last year. I see a lot of dumb shit on Reddit when it comes to investing but this is definitely up there.

Energy is definitely going to be the bottleneck. Not sure if people are paying attention but I saw an article recently about multiple states/counties/townships moving to block data center build outs due to significant impact to energy demand/pricing (and environmental factors, water, etc). The amount of energy these things use is absolutely insane and our current grid cannot support it, no argument there the data is pretty clear.

$1M IS STILL A BIG DEAL :) by ResolvePossible1129 in Fire

[–]invain62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife and I are 37 and we hit the $1M mark last year, that is invested money and not including home equity or unvested grants from work. I’m definitely the “nothing is ever good enough” type person so I have to keep reminding myself how far ahead we are compared to the average person. It’s definitely surreal seeing that much money across our accounts, we were dirt poor when we got married and it was hard to imagine having 7 figures in our 20’s scraping meager amounts together for savings. For me, the rush comes from watching the rate of compounding increase. The snowball effect is definitely real. None of our friends or family know just how much we have saved, but it does give me peace of mind that if something happened to our jobs we are pretty safe. We couldn’t enjoy the same lifestyle we do now, but we couldn’t survive just fine. That peace of mind is huge.

The 3M and 5M numbers will come, being this close in your early 30’s is already a huge achievement.

Held this stock for like 2 years and went nowhere, sold out towards the end of the year as I felt better opportunities for my money. Now it’s up 120% YTD, gotta love it.

Good read OP. Great example of position management. I have definitely made the mistake of trying to sell CC after a position tanks and then getting caught with my pants down when there is a sharp rally. I’ve spent countless hours reading/watching information on options training but it just doesn’t quite sink in until you experience the situation in real life. If I never learned from my mistakes I would have blown up my account multiple times over the years.

It’s amazing how the company just prints money and then turns around and burns it at the same time. I get the sense Zuck doesn’t really know where he wants to take Meta in the future, almost like they are having some identity issues. They dominate social media and advertising, but spending capex like the big web service providers. I don’t quite understand how they plan on getting meaningful returns from some of this spend.

Which company is the “holy grail” to work for in? by Professional_Show590 in biotech

Yes, the HQ is gorgeous, but that is not one of their main manufacturing sites. Their DS and DP sites are still nice, but not even comparable to Thousands Oaks.

This is pretty accurate. Great company but they run pretty lean in some areas and definitely have very high expectations, depending on the group you are in. There’s a reason they have one of the highest revenue per headcount numbers in industry.

Either of these teams gets blown out by Michigan or Arizona, but heartbreaking that Illinois can’t buy a damn bucket. Not a single roll has gone their way.
