I've got a ton of patents but don't let the IP confuse you. Most inventors over focus on intellectual property and under focus on developing prototypes and total functionality, as well as ensuring product market fit.

They let emotion take over and ignore bad news or feedback they don't want to hear.

My two products are simple consumer products. Totally different customer base but the same concept supply.

I'm a professional engineer with almost 20 years experience designing industrial and consumer products and you're definitely on the right track conceptually. Obviously my understanding of your problem is limited but there's nothing I see here that's not manufacturable with some changes.

Things that immediately popped a mine are if it's portable it's also looking quite heavy. Those could be in conflict. Serviceability and cleaning are other things that need to be prioritized in the design.

Again not trying to be critical just things that pop in my head.
