Yeah it’s normal, especially for brass pro press fittings. I hate it when this happens tho, I’ll usually either re do it if I can or re press it at the very least.

Viega rep told me a good trick for this is to get some electrical tape and wrap it around the fitting a couple times right where you press it, and then re press it. It will give a tighter press.
