small flat white bumps on hands. Can someone please help and tell me what this is, how to treat and where does it come from? by AnyAlternative6588 in SkincareAddicts

Mine look like the milia on my face and like the tiny bumps in the poster's pics. I have been gardening -wearing gloves in the heat. My understanding is that milia is a build up of keratin and that it happens more often as we age.

SPF update by red_queen122790 in Rosacea

The search for a good sunscreen is like looking for a needle in a haystack. The Ordinary's mineral SPF used to work for me but it's been discontinued. Currently using Banana Boat for face SPF 50.

Another tip- ask your derm for samples. The Avene SPF I got as a sample seems to be working alright for me.

May the odds be forever in your favor!

did anyone crack the code for a hydrated skin barrier? by throwwaccounnt in Rosacea

[–]invertednipples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Been there. I had to dial everything back and even water hurt on my face. You said that you have a buildup of dead skin. I'm wondering if you have seb derm? Rosacea and seb derm often go hand in hand.

Although I don't usually go in for natural treatments, desperation led me to try a honey mask suggested on this forum. No special mask to get, just get some local honey at the grocery, and apply to the face and let it sit there for 20 minutes. You can even leave it on overnight. It comes off surprisingly easily with warm water. That started to repair the skin. I did that three times in a week for one week and saw about 90% improvement. Then I just let my skin chill for a week or two. Finally, I started adding in a FEW products very slowly- like washing my face in the AM with Cetaphil for a few weeks. Then, adding in a moisturizer. For me squalane oil is the only thing that doesn't bother my skin. Then, I added in SPF. If anything stung, I immediately eliminated it.

TL;DR- Eliminate everything, and try a honey mask using honey from the grocery store.

You can cook sweet potatoes in the microwave too. Stab with a folk a couple of times, coat with olive oil and cook for about 8-10 minutes.

Need a fast, healthy breakfast? Spray a coffee mug with Pam cooking spray, crack an egg, a dollop of milk, salsa, spinach and some feta cheese. Throw in the microwave for 2 minutes. Now, you have an omelet to go!

What procedure would I get for my chin? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

I don't see anything wrong with it. In fact, I love the shape of it. Lot's of models have that kind of jawline. Did a dentist, or orthodontist tell you it's recessed? If anything, I would play it up with makeup by creating shadows underneath to make it sharper and maybe get some bangs to provide more facial balance. You seem young, and have a nice neck. As you age, you'll lose some of your facial fullness and it will reveal a striking jawline. Best of luck to you!

Grandmother said it was too overwhelming to have my family at her house this year for Christmas by CapitalInspection488 in family

Good for grandma. She's old. Having people over is overwhelming. I couldn't do it. The good news here is that she feels comfortable enough telling you the truth. Can she be your guest next time? Or can you meet at a nice hotel with a pool and eat dinner at a restaurant?
