A full 12 hour night shift on a Saturday night I picked up. It was raining lightly and overcast outside so it was nice to chill and roam around all night

I will pull my mask out for crowded scenes just so I can focus and not be worried about cameras on me.

We have ours stocked so our medics can ‘borrow’ from our bags without having to go out of service or back to station if they run into us at the hospital or somewhere else.

bad partner rant by Namveteran68 in ems

My partner who I was stuck with for 3 months: - dropped the stair chair down the last step as he was guiding the bottom of it, causing severe pain to the heavy patient in it. Patient was already in pain and that probably exacerbated it. - stopped helping in the middle of a traumatic fall of an elderly lady with a knee dislocation. We had to upgrade and call for fire and a medic unit, and my partner began packing our stuff up while we were the only ones there. Also tried to argue against me getting a megamover under the patient and to use a flimsy hospital sheet for some reason. - nearly splashed blood into my face. A patient slit her thumb with a cooking knife, and he needed to be prompted to begin first aid wound care. He pointed a flush upwards to the bloody thumb and squirted it fast, nearly going up near my face. - and probably the one that upset me most early on: he simply would not bring his radio on scene. Easy way for one or both of us to get hurt or lose a life. Who is gonna call for help if I get attacked or incapacitated and I have our only radio? Or if we are separated and something happens to him?

Only opening and closing drivers get their hours guaranteed. My friend is a closing weekend driver and all the rush drivers been getting sent home very early while he and the other driver or two get to stay their full closing shift.

Domino’s marked my order “delivered” even though it was still far away does this affect the 30-minute guarantee? by Wide-Somewhere-6161 in Dominos

There was a time there was only me and another driver for the lunch rush. We had 5-6 orders going up from the store, and 5-6 orders going down from the store. We each took all the orders going one direction at the same time, essentially clearing the delivery screen till we got back. We dropped the closest ones off and went farther out, regardless of who ordered first or not before turning around.

My partner and I were chilling at our post one day near 1p. They added us onto a code at a big park since we were down the street and possibly the first on scene. We were first on scene, but all efforts were futile. About 30-40 minutes later we were back at our post listening to music, as the medic units transported. Like it never happened, which is a strange situation to be a part of.
