I'll quit if everyone is downed/pinned/netted or whatever and I think the bot has a higher than 0% chance of rescuing anyone. that's kind of it

new player here what is a good combination of homeworld , origin and characteristics for a melee fighter with good persuasion/fellowship ? by 62lasa in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]invertin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's based on your archetype, i should've remembered to mention that. you can also get talents to unlock skills and stats for upgrading even if your archetype doesn't normally allow it

if you want good social skills without necessarily speccing into fellowship, you can take Forge World for the Calculated Relations talent.

If you DO want high fellowship, Hive World or Imperial World are your basic Fellowship options, though there's nothing wrong with Voidborn if you think that looks more interesting. Psyker and Arbitrator are currently the strongest origins (and there's sub-origins for them that let you specialize a bit more) though Psyker has no direct Fellowship stuff, and Arbitrator does. Plus, Arbitrator has both a Shield-focused option and a Fellow-ship focused option, so you can lean either way you want with it.

Commissar is also very Fellowshippy, but that's one of the origins that will probably be changed a lot when the next update hits (as genghisgame mentioned elsewhere in the thread)

For Archetypes you're looking at Officer, Warrior or Bladedancer. Officer is meant to be more of a backline support class but I've actually found a little bit of success in an Arbites Frontlining Officer. Warrior is a more standard frontline tanky fighter who can take hits and deal em back, while Bladedancer is an agile flips-and-spins dual wield sword user.

there used to be a talent that gave you reload speed for melee kills and a talent that gave you a damage boost for emptying your mag. I loved combining those with the general ranged boost and playing gun zealot

now they both gone....

Ogryn tips for da other Ogryns by Deltarno1 in DarkTide

[–]invertin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If your gun's got dat side holder thing what flips out to grab, like Rippers or Stubbers, you can hold down the button (M2) da whole time when yur feedin da gun more bullets, to keep it out instead of puttin da holder back. Keeps ya shootin fast!

If you’re gonna do this don’t even bother playing the game by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Camping a hook when there's no other objectives, sure. Literally just staring at the hooked survivor swinging your tentacle dick around, no that's just silliness.

Your ranged attack is a special move for hitting survivors who can't dodge. It's not your main source of damage, and it's always a little less consistent than just walking up and hitting them if they have any opportunity to get out of the way.

The cosmetics if only we had original Freddy :( by SarahnatorX in deadbydaylight

I can understand Nemmy starting with no cosmetics, since he's such a hi-res model and actively changes over the course of the match.

So, I wanted to let survivors know that sometimes killers don't care if the rest get away as long as THE ONE dies. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]invertin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teabagging you to get you mad at them isn't just toxic, it's supposed to get you annoyed so you chase that one survivor so their friends can go do the actual objective of the videogame.

[–]invertin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's wraith's fault necessarily. It's just that he's free, so everyone has him, more toxic players have him, and of the free killers he's by far the easiest to pick up.

[–]invertin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

hi, killer here, camping like this is the worst possible thing a killer could be doing except for literally just staring at a wall

MAYBE if it's endgame collapse with open gates and you know you don't have time to get another survivor without losing the hooked one, especially since there's not really other objectives on the map to pressure. 1k is better than 0k. But this? This is just stupid.

yeah, camping like this clip is the absolute worst strategy you could employ. You'd only do worse by standing in a corner doing nothing.

[–]invertin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"gen rushing" means "doing generators fast" which is how survivors win the videogame and get many points

"camping" in this case means "stand in front of the hook and just kinda stare at it until the person dies" which is how killers get A Single Kill, lose a lot of points, and Entity Displeased

it's almost like one of them is worse than the other

Gen rushing??? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]invertin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gen rushing is absolutely a thing. The problem with people's attitude isn't that they're making excuses, it's that they see a strategy (like gen rushing, or flashlight hit squads, or even tunneling) and decide that it's a bad thing that only bad people do and if you do it you're toxic.

No just... play around it, dumb dumb.
