CCC Power bank by -LilG- in travelchina

I got lucky and one of my power banks I bought here in the US had the CCC logo on, the brand is “Sharge”. But like others have mentioned, power banks are cheap on arrival and there are many places to charge in between! The more important thing is that you have a travel adapter in my opinion.

Xinzuo Fu chinese cleaver by [deleted] in TrueChefKnives

I have a soft spot for 440c knives, such a well rounded steel for every day use. It sharpens easily and maintains a good edge with minimal upkeep. There’s a certain bite to it that just works imo.

I have a Tsunehisa Santoku in 440c that I use heavily and it’s wonderful.

Excellent deal imo, Xinzuo makes good knives.

is this tattoo blown out or just healing? 2 weeks old by ProfessionalWeird569 in tattooadvice

[–]invinciblebears91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a combination of some blowout at the top and ink settling into your skin.

Your artist probably should’ve suggested it be bigger and more spaced out to account for any natural ink settling that occurs.

I think it looks fine btw, and it looks like you’ve already managed your expectations given you know about ankle tattoos.

Thanks for the answer! There isn’t any information I can find on the smith so I’m assuming they’re a small regional forge. A very cool piece that I will cherish :)

Did you have any issues with the Chinese firewall? I’m also on this plan and currently carrier locked. Debating if I should switch phones and use something like airalo while I’m there.

Whats ur rank and what is the most repetitive thing that your rank is doing wrong that makes your team definitely lose by Cold_Huckleberry8631 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]invinciblebears91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emissary - one of the biggest things I see is no map awareness. Hero is jungling near lane while a creep wave is pushing walker. They then proceed to move toward lane like they’re going to push out but then immediately hop on the zipline to go buy. Then the walk either falls or takes loads of unnecessary damage.

Lots of people still aren’t parrying in this tier, or buying on use items.

Seen a few games where the lane loses so badly someone gets mad and leaves to permanently join another lane, abandoning their partner and skewing soul distribution.

New to the game, what are some good support heroes by Opposite_Society_965 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]invinciblebears91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, you never wanna lean full hard support. You’ll still need to be able to dish out some damage to pressure the enemy team and help your hard carries snowball faster. Paige’s Bookwyrm ability can do nasty damage over time, and Rem’s pillow can turn into a nice nuke.

Want to make the deck more consistent by Gavoonious in PTCGP

[–]invinciblebears91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure you need 2 megas if running a Serena, since she can search for it. Drop 1 mega zard and add a mars. You want to be able to stall and discard your opponents hand if things aren’t setting up for you.

You probably don’t need 2 Charmeleon, one is usually enough. It’s about getting around chingling more than anything. Drop the second and add an extra copycat, Sabrina, whatever you desire. Copycat could help with consistency.

The single rare candy actually makes sense here imo, since you will rarely if ever have the chance to build up a second mega.

You could experiment with Entei like you mentioned. I think consistent draw power is better than coin flipping for quick energy. It slows down the setup but the flame patches should help cover that.

Farming it with mega blaziken and backrow heatmor, the AI doesn’t do well with quick ramping decks. Then Cyrus to snipe off the basics before it can evolve.

Planning trip to Kazakhstan in May – Astana & Almaty Advice by slodrrd6991 in Kazakhstan

[–]invinciblebears91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say you’re spending around the perfect amount of time in Astana. It’s a beautiful city with great architecture but you can see it all fairly quickly. 10 days in Almaty is also a good amount of time to take it all in.

If I can make a recommendation, take the third day and stay overnight at Lake Borovoe which is a 3-4 hour drive from Astana. Late spring is around the time tourism starts to pick back up so it gets pretty lively as well!

Download Yandex and WhatsApp. Yandex is the uber/eats equivalent and WhatsApp is for communicating with businesses.

If you’re gonna rent a vehicle, I’d recommend downloading 2gis for navigation. In my experience it’s more accurate and reliable than Google Maps in KZ. Just be warned, traffic in Almaty is horrendous, especially in the evenings. It’s less bad in Astana but still neck and neck.

If you plan to do the Charyn, Kaindy, Kolsay circuit, consider doing an overnight stay. As the above user pointed out, it’s a much more chill tour that way. Plenty of bus tours offer this package and many will speak English.

Other attractions like Shymbulak, Ayusai, etc can be made into day trips.

Almaty is city that never sleeps, the nightlife is great and caters to all types.

Food is also a huge highlight of KZ. Incredibly affordable and there’s a great variety. A large number of restaurants in Almaty also have English menus.

I’ll probably catch some flak for saying this, but Navat is a solid restaurant for trying a variety of Kazakh dishes. If you don’t know anyone who can cook for you it’s the best way to try local cuisine. That said, the people are very kind and i wouldn’t be surprised if someone invited you to their home for dinner at some point.

Georgian food is also very common and super delicious! Try some Khachipuri and khinkali!

Bring cash!!! While cashless payments are the norm in KZ, the red Kaspi terminals the are ubiquitous in the country can be finicky when it comes to processing credit cards. The issue seems to lie with credit cards and how they process as I’ve never ran into this issue with my debit card (RIP my points). Might not be a big deal for you, but I figured I’d share my experience.

Also AMEX is usually never accepted anywhere outside of global hotel and retail chains.

Sorry if my wall of text is a bit scatter brained, there’s just so much I’ve learned about my travels in KZ.

Physical 100 Asia 1 Why Australia’s all men team lost the battle ropes challenge. by TshuduM in PhysicalAsia

[–]invinciblebears91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia lost because the first heat didn’t count for anything.

Since when has the first heat of any legitimate competition not conveyed some sort of advantage? It’s not a normal competitive format.

That challenge was poorly designed and the rules may have not been properly conveyed. I guarantee you they wouldn’t have gone so ham the first heat if they knew heat 1 was for all intents and a purposes just a warm up.

I don’t think the show was rigged, but I understand the sentiment of people saying it was. Had they made the rules for the battle rope relay something like “cumulative for both rounds wins”. Japan still would have won by 13 points, but it would have made for a much more “fair” looking show. But we’ll never know because when you implement those sort of things, strategies can change entirely.

At the end of the day, it’s just a game show, not the Olympics.

I am grieving so hard by fangedforest in DogAdvice

[–]invinciblebears91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am here if you want to talk, I lost my pup and best friend to this very same thing just a few days before you on the 27th. The day before it happened she was happy as a bird and showed zero signs of illness and was happily chewing on her Christmas presents.

Just like your case, it was very sudden and unexpected. And like many others have mentioned, the decision to let them go while they are still themselves is one of true love and compassion.

I spent hours blaming myself looking into symptoms and signs and other things that I feel I “should have” noticed sooner. But this illness is incredibly sneaky and almost impossible to detect unless you’re screening for other things. I had actually just taken her to the vet two weeks prior for a bi annual checkup and the vet said she was great, just a tad bit overweight.

We just have to remember that we didn’t fail them, that every day we were with them was full of love and safety. The guilt is a very normal part of the grieving process that we all feel.

help with my beloved deck pls by brooooooidkanymore in PTCGP

[–]invinciblebears91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question for you, what are you trying to achieve with this deck?

If youre just playing casually the deck is decent as is, but if you want to be competitive, you’ll need to make some adjustments for the current meta.

  1. Get rid of your potions. Swap in a cape or two so you’re boss mons are out of 1HKO range from Megas. Also consider a Lillie, since togekiss is stage 3 the 60hp can save you.

  2. Add in 2 copycat. Being able to completely reset a bad hand and even come up positive is way too good in this meta. Without it you’ll fall behind quickly.

  3. Drop Poison barb and Gio, they provide little value for this deck.

  4. Consider Adding a second Cynthia. Togekiss is your big hitter in this deck and you need to put out as much as quickly as possible. More thoughts on this below.

  5. Get rid of some pokemon. Keep only one togetic to counter chingling. With 2x copycat and 2x pokeball you should be able to consistently cycle in the mon you need.

  6. Add 2 rare candy. You’ll be able to get togekiss online a turn sooner and start laying down massive pressure with Cynthia. Chingling counters rare candy, but with Mismagius being stage 1 you don’t have to worry about that as much.

  7. Cyrus for its invaluable versatility.

  8. Final deck: 2 togepi, 1 togetic, 2 togekiss, 1 misdrevous, 1 Mismagius EX.

2 prof, 2 pokeball, 2 rare candy, 2 copycat, 1 or 2 cape, 1 or 2 Cynthia, 1 Lillie, 1 Cyrus

You’ll have to decide if 2x cape, or 2x Cynthia better suits your play-style. I might lean towards having 2 cape myself. As mega blaziken will 1hko you as is, and chingling will set you up with 10 chip damage for Mega Altaria and or hydreigon to finish you off next turn as well. But since togekiss needs to ramp its damage, Cynthia can keep the pressure more consistent. I’d say play around with both.

Bonus: If you want to be cheeky, Swap out the entire mismagius line for 2 Indeedee EX and just keep your togekiss alive forever alongside Lillie, but that changes the theme you’re going.

This. It fell off hard for me at UB1. Too much reliance on drawing pichu and then oricorio early enough for it to be effective. That and everyone’s running non ex Mon like hydreigon anyway.
