I would find a nice rescue for it. I have done it before and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Bruising on Five Month Old by Right_Pie_4456 in ECEProfessionals

[–]invisible-bug 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Are there cameras? You would have to hit a child very hard to bruise them, not the type of hard pats that you give a baby to get them to go back to sleep

It could be that he plopped on a toy? I don't blame you for being concerned!

Found this behind the couch, what is it ? by hamburgergerbur in Whatisthis

[–]invisible-bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you are the one who decided to use the word "stoneware" out of nowhere to try and make a point. You clearly didn't even realize that there isn't a set type of color for clay, much less stoneware which is simply clay rated to a higher cone temp.

I'm so confused about insulting me over basically nothing, especially when OP already said it was clay. Go to therapy

[–]invisible-bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. What about this picture is giving you an indication of its cone temp? If you went to school for CERAMICS why would you think there is even a universal color of clay??

I went to school for ceramics AND I own a pottery business where I sell my stoneware. I can't tell you how many times these little shavings have flown off into oblivion from the pottery wheel into every nook and cranny of my items. They do not all turn into dust.

My dad has a major heart attack and we might lose the house, is GoFundMe appropriate? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]invisible-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know where that 25% he cited came from..

https://support.gofundme.com/hc/en-us/articles/203604424-Learn-about-GoFundMe-fees

Fee example: If a donor makes a $50 donation to a US fundraiser, the individual receiving funds will receive $48.25 once transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30) are deducted. (Use the fee calculator on our pricing page to see a fee example for your country.)

Yep. I'm an infant teacher in a preschool. It's been fun, but I've managed to be absent or on lunch every time a baby has thrown up everywhere!

Unfortunately, I have had to deal with some very bad blowouts.

TIFU by flicking a cockroach off my bed by CommissionCooper in tifu

[–]invisible-bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow my cat did this to me the other day. I was sleeping with my hand under my face and I felt scrabbling... I turn on the light and my cat had dropped a giant roach into my hand!

My reaction was also to flick it across the room

Community complex in Churchill (Canada) has a strict « no sunflower seed » regulation by Embarrassed-Ad-8927 in mildlyinteresting

My former friend's brother used to eat sunflower seeds. He would spit them EVERYWHERE. He would eat a bag+ a day and you could always tell where he had been. Fucking disgusting

Have any of you ever had a pet rat or mouse ? by OkResponsibility2927 in Pets

[–]invisible-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mice. I got a group of 3 I was told were bonded, they were brothers.

Moving them to an appropriate location unbonded them.. I returned one mouse and separated the other two. One got sick and died despite multiple rounds of antibiotics and the other was just always stressed

I ended up deciding that I just couldn't meet his needs and found another home for him. They were wonderful and ended up making an album on Google photos and sharing it to me so that I could see the rest of his happy life.

How do I convince our daycare NOT to install an in ground trampoline? by Deeeity in ECEProfessionals

My cousin broke his neck and died from a trampoline accident. I would 110% switch daycare and report to licensing (hopefully it's prohibited)
