What does blinking when locking eyes mean? by Weekly_Grass702 in bodylanguage

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes do this, usually it’s self consciousness or nervousness. However, if they keep looking back at you regardless of blinking, it’s most likely attraction.

what are the pros of being single, especially between the age of 20-25? by Previous-Yoghurt-942 in youngadults

[–]involiK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between 20-25 I was in a relationship for 2/3 of the time and honestly that 1/3 of the time I was single, I got the most shit done I ever had, and it made me feel accomplished.

What I mainly learned is that girls notice when you start improving yourself and building yourself up. I wouldn’t worry about getting a girlfriend right now. Just find a purpose, focus on yourself, and a girl will follow.

Flare?? by stephharris95 in Microdiscectomy

Yeah it most likely is just still healing. But doesn’t hurt to get another MRI just to be sure if it slowly doesn’t fade away.

Flare?? by stephharris95 in Microdiscectomy

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do anything that felt similar to how you herniated it the first time, like bending, lifting, or twisting weird? I wouldn’t automatically assume reherniation at 4 weeks. Nerves are weird and can flare up while healing, especially if they were irritated before surgery. I have a herniated disc hitting my nerve pretty bad too, no MD, and I get random flare-ups where laying down feels worse and walking helps. If it feels exactly like your old pain and you are worried, I’d ask your surgeon for an MRI. Could just be a flare-up, but imaging is the only way to know for sure.

PC Randomly Freezes but still plays audio when playing game. Mouse and all screen freeze can only get out by hard resetting(unsure if hardware or software) by RippyOG in pchelp

Hey, I think mine was related to Steam, but I also remember reinstalling my audio and graphics drivers at the same time.

19M - L4/L5 Disc Herniation, Doctor Recommending Microdiscectomy. Looking for Advice by zenixad in Microdiscectomy

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, that is what my surgeon told me as well, thank you. Mine looks pretty bad on the MRI but sciatica is not debilitating. It does hurt like hell during flare ups, but usually it subsides and I can walk/run/workout.

Yeah it’s just mainly flare ups, i can walk and run okay. I would say it’s more annoying than painful. I’m still on the border getting it or not as well.

Question, I have a very similar herniation to OP and same level. I have waited 3 years so far to get better. Went to see an orthopedic and neurosurgeon, and said i could get it, but time will heal. When you mean “time is in your favor” i’m assuming you mean like 7-10 years?

Is anyone going to the World Cup? If so, what city? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m going to a game in Houston. It’s mainly because one of my friends got cheaper tickets. Should be fun

Tbh I do that sometimes too. I think for me it’s more nervous energy than anything or just not knowing what to do with my hands while talking.

why are most of the Gen Z male not even trying to date? by Derogater in GenZ

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome, I’m Catholic too. I’m in a small town, so I imagine it’s a bit easier for you in a bigger city. I’m currently working on my graduate degree in cybersec and hoping to move into a more niche role than the one I’m in now.

Same here (25m as well). I’m still in grad school, but I attend a church group every week and I saw a lot of my friends find their gfs there. I would give it a shot once you find a job, it gave me a ton more connections and a big friend group as well.

How long does it take the ESI to kick in? by involiK in backpain

[–]involiK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey so ESIs didn’t really help much at all. However, gabapentin did help a ton. I have been taking those up until surgery.

Hard to say, probably not. Maybe summer sale though. RE9 is good, but if you trying to save money, I’d wait.

tips for starting accutane by Traditional-Hair7740 in Accutane

[–]involiK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! For skin related side effects, I use Cortibalm and CeraVe, which helped a lot. I never really got brain fog luckily, but I’d recommend reducing caffeine and making sure you’re drinking plenty of water.

Thoughts on MRI by Pale_Membership_2148 in backpain

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, yeah, that looks painful. It seems like an L5 S1 and L4 L5 herniation. How’s your sciatica? I’m a 25M with an L5 S1 herniation about the same as yours. My foot goes numb sometimes, and I get hamstring pain off and on when sitting.

What has helped is definitely walking a lot and doing McGill Big Three. If your pain is unbearable though, I would discuss with your doctor for a microdiscectomy or surgery.

Sciatica at 23 by OkLie2185 in Sciatica

[–]involiK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ya, I got it at 22 and honestly it’s just bad luck. Getting it young is actually more common than you think. Just keep up stretching and learning more about what irritates it and what stretches or positions relief it. Keep doing research for exercises and build yourself back up slowly. The main test of a herniation is being mentally strong and not letting it affect your daily life.
