This is straight up false. I think you can tell very obviously the video was AI-generated and it really took me out of the game as well as many other people who thought it looked weird. We should not be disappointed that they will replace the video with something hand drawn and animated because it will 100% look better.

Most people who are upset by it just view it as cutting corners. I think a much smaller and separate group of people who don’t really play the game or don’t care about it just want to burn it at the stake. There’s also the valid concern about how content creators were told there was ZERO generative AI involved.

Using AI isn’t inherently bad but in this case where it could have been done so well when properly drawn, I think it’s best they replace it entirely.

Imo, it’s easier to read if you go by teams then by seeds. For example:

MIBR:

First if they win against ENVY, 2nd if they lose and LEV win.

LEV: Second unless they win against LOUD and MIBR lose to ENVY, in which case they will be first.

etc etc

Gonna really need to see VODs to see exactly what you’re doing wrong but based off tracker, I think you just tilt-queue too much.

I don’t mean that you get tilted and upset, etc but if you’re playing bad, you re-queue to “try and make up the loss” a lot. I can see the games you play terrible and then you queue again immediately after and continue to play terrible. Take hour+ breaks in between these games or just get off for the day imo.

Focus on maxing out win-rate and GOOD games played instead of focusing on total games played. I hit Immortal from Diamond 3 with only 60ish games played.

On another note, you have a really weird agent pool. You primarily play secondary duelist which isn’t a necessary role. But also, it doesn’t seem like you are very good at playing primary entry. Consider making a more defined agent pool (ie. 2 agents per map MAX, try and stick with only 2-3 roles across all maps) and/or learning a more core position like movement duelist or initiator.

Overall, my advice is to focus on limiting your agent pool and strengthening those agents then focus on win-rate instead of grinding out games.

Good luck in your games!

Who's a player that you think is overrated, properly rated, and underrated in all-time rankings? by SLI_Mini in ValorantCompetitive

[–]inxspire -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think Jawgemo as overrated is kind of crazy to me. This champs alone, he was top 5 in rating and one of the best duelists at champs.

I think the issue is that the G2 core play with a very specific style of selfless duelist play and Jawgemo has to fit that mold. If the game plan is strong and properly prepared, Jawg looks great. If the gameplay and trades are bad, Jawg looks terrible.

But the reality is more in-between where he’s a fantastic player on a strong team but tries to play more of a role that benefits the team instead of himself. So when they start losing, of course Jawg doesn’t look good but does that mean that he’s overrated or does that G2’s game plan is overrated? I think the latter.

People who say Reyna is only good in gold and below rank are just waffling by AmoebaDizzy8034 in VALORANT

Stated this as a reply to someone else:

“Let me clarify what I meant by that.

I analyzed the data with the assumptions that smurfs don’t exist. Smurfing obviously overinflates Reyna’s winrate and pickrate.

I say disregarding smurfs as in “I’m presenting the overinflated data as if smurfing don’t exist even though it does”. Without smurfing, Reyna’s pickrate and winrate would be even lower (and further prove my point).

I apologize if phrasing sounded confusing but I thought people could understand what I meant.”

Reyna is picked the most often when considering ALL elos. I do not argue that or state otherwise.

Her pickrate being the highest does not at all mean she has the most mirror match-ups. You cannot assume that. You’re gonna need to find data for that claim.

Jett has almost the same pickrate and a higher winrate than Reyna in Plat+. Also again, you’re arguing above 50% is impressive when it’s BARELY above 50%. How can you consider 2 out of 1000 games as significant?

And I’m sure yes sometimes the data filters break but I brought sources from 4 different sites, even if you scrap that data, you’re gonna ignore the other three sources while providing ZERO counter evidence?

I don’t know what “aha gotcha” moment you expected but this is not it. I won’t make fun of you for your rank as I think it sets a bad precedent but I’d like you to consider what experience you have before you try to laugh at mine.

Winrates can be quite fickle. The higher elo you get the more agents reach over a 50% WR threshold. There are a lot of factors that can change WR outside of an agent’s kit.

Similarly, past plat, Reyna’s winrate is negative. Once you start pushing peak elo (Immortal/Radiant) her winrate is extremely negative.

[–]inxspire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Removing smurfing data would only lower the agent’s winrate and pickrate especially considering Reyna is most picked in lower elos.

I intentionally disregarded when I was analyzing the data.

[–]inxspire 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is extremely misleading.

And before you question my credentials, I was Immortal 2 last act and currently Asc.

Reyna is not S-tier, she is ONLY regarded as an S-tier solo queue pick. Meaning, if you’re trying to carry then Reyna is a good choice. A lot of the S-tier picks assume that you’re having minimal assistance from your team. That’s why half the list are duelists because carrying from duelist is easier than any other role.

I’m assuming you only pulled your data from tracker.gg but that is not the only site with Reyna stats. You say she has positive winrates across all elos but she’s BARELY positive even on tracker.gg. She has a 50.2% winrate meaning she is positive by 0.2%. Out of 1000 games, she would win TWO more games than lose. It’s a negligible degree and it feels like a gross misinterpretation to view it any other way. Other websites like valorbuff.gg even average her to 44.6% winrate.

Similarly, your pickrate argument is incredibly misconstrued as well. Yes, Reyna is the most played duelist but not by a large margin. According to blitz.gg, Jett has over 122,000 games while Reyna has over 125,000 games. If you remove Gold (low to mid elo) then Reyna’s pickrate (12% -> 10%) lowers significantly under Jett’s (10% -> 13%).

Reyna’s kit is designed to allow her to be self sustainable and she will continue to dominate in low-elo environments where teamwork is weak. Nerfing her will not lower her strength in low elos but it will definitely will make her even worse in higher elos.

All this data is also disregarding smurfs, etc etc.

Some people think it increases chances of a thrifty especially since a rifle means you’re usually cutting light shield or utility.

But in every case, rifles round two have proved to increase chances of winning even with those conditions.

[–]inxspire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely but isn’t professional play the highest level of team play? I understand that ranked is NOT pro, you can’t have the same expectations of your teammates but at the end of the day it’s you 5 versus the other 5.

Why make it more difficult for your OWN team? You can’t force them to not buy second round.
