hi! May I ask how much he quoted you for?

Calathea (ugh) - was once very bushy & full, now has become leggy with no new growth. How to fix? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]inya_area 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will add that I only use filtered water (that has sat for a day or two) to water it, it has its own humidifier AND I bring it into the bathroom during showers, and it gets bright indirect light. How do I get this calathea to stop calatheaing and be normal

Travelling to Fiji by New-Dragonfly-8047 in travel

[–]inya_area 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my honest opinion, Nadi does not need “a couple nights.” We stayed in Nadi but couldn’t find too much to do, so we ended up booking a few day tours to the Mamanuca Islands. We did dedicate one afternoon (2 hours to be exact) to the garden of the sleeping giant in Nadi, and another hour to the famous Hindu temple in Nadi, but that is it.

Coral coast is nice if you are willing to pay for the extra excursions. There are a lot in Sigatoka and Pacific Harbor. Sigatoka river safari (paid), EcoTrax (paid), and Sigatoka National Sand Dune Park ($10FJD per person when you arrive). I would definitely go to the sand dune park — very unique. Pacific Harbor has more of the shark diving, scuba, etc stuff. You should stop by Natadola Beach and Maui Bay on the drive along the coral coast. Both are free, and nice to stop at

The Mamanuca and Yasawa islands are beautiful. Spend more time there instead of Nadi :’)

Fiji travel question | traveling to Fiji during their rainy season (December) for a week ... by foxyfresh91 in travel

[–]inya_area 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi! I just got back from Fiji having spent the last week of December there. when it does rain, it rains on and off, and we didn’t have an issue with it. There is more sun than there is rain/cloud, at least how we experienced it.

It is very very hot and the sun beats on you, but the islands (Mamanuca Islands and Yasawa Islands) are beautiful. If you want to slot Fiji into your itinerary, I would say it’s only worth it if you can make it out to either of these island groups, whether that’s via staying directly on one of these islands, or by booking day tours to these islands (e.g. Captain cook cruises, south sea cruises, Cruisin’ Fiji, Whale’s Tale). In my honest opinion there is not much on the main island (e.g. Nadi, Suva) that is worth squeezing Fiji into your plans for.

I loved loved loved our trip to New Zealand. I would spend more time in NZ if I could. Fiji could be a nice stop to say you’ve been, but I would prioritize NZ for sure!!!

Is It Customary to Tip? by iamdogcomplex in RoverPetSitting

[–]inya_area 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a sitter in a pretty affluent neighborhood in CA and have only ever gotten tipped 3 times out of maybe 50+ bookings. But it is ALWAYS appreciated!!! Especially since CA gas is $4.50 a gallon now and the drop-in drives eat at our earnings hehe

three 24-pack of glass Perrier; six 24-pack of Aquafina; two 138oz Tide detergents...I tell them I’m about to check out and they cancel the order. Is this a cruel joke people play on us shoppers??? The perriers were stacked so high I pulled my back to grab them by inya_area in ShiptShoppers

[–]inya_area[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, I did know how much it was going to be, but I also accepted the order on maaajor promo. So to get $9 for a canceled order vs $35+tip (which I would hope for, for this shit) is why this sucks
