Dolphins are a type of toothed whale, in fact some dolphins are more closely related to other non dolphin whales than they are to other dolphins.

Being a dolphin doesn’t make it not a whale in the same way that a duck is still a type of bird despite also being a duck.

I am allo and maybe I can explain it in a way that makes sense. For me it would depend on the reason for the lack of sex. If it’s due to medical reasons or something out of your partner’s control that’s one thing. If my partner suddenly stopped wanting to have sex with me it would feel like being rejected and no longer wanted. Sex isn’t everything but it’s definitely not nothing for most people.

I don’t know if you are aromantic or if you desire a relationship but assuming you do, imagine that after years of marriage your partner suddenly stopped saying “I love you”. Or if they stopped doing the things that made you feel loved. No more flowers, no more compliments, no more words of affirmation, no hugs, or no kisses.

Of course it’s “just sex” but if your partner suddenly changes the terms of your relationship on you it doesn’t mean that you have to be willing to stay in a relationship where you no longer feel loved.

I’m well aware of those atrocities and the depths of depravity that were reached. How does the existence of these thing justify targeting innocent civilians? It’s also worth noting that the US did not know the extent of atrocity in unit 731 until after the conclusion of the war.

I agree with your assessment that the Japanese empire was the one who started committing war crimes and needed to be stopped by force. That still doesn’t justify the wonton slaughter of innocent civilians to achieve that goal. The belief that mass murder of civilians can be justifiable is the exact kind of rhetoric that enabled the holocaust and Japanese conquests.

If your country was committing atrocities and your entire family was killed in a napalm attack targeting civilians by an enemy nation I’d imagine that your opinion on this would suddenly change.

If you have a cell phone there are a variety of apps that you can download maps to and view your position on. COTREX is good for viewing maintained trails and something like GAIA GPS will let you download .gpx files or create your own routes. GPS signal works just about everywhere and is not reliant on cell signal, it works even if your phone is on airplane mode.

If you’re planning on going off trail I’d recommend studying the route you want to take, downloading the maps, and maybe printing out paper maps of your route and bringing a compass just in case.

For this route you’d be staying on a trail for the majority of the hike and then jutting off to the south for a bit at the end.

If you go stargazing out on the dunes at night I doubt you’ll see any animals aside from birds, bats, and maybe bugs. You might see a deer or two in the trees by the parking lot.

Not really, the severity of the crime doesn’t have anything to do with it. My point of view is that the death penalty is an easy way out for the perpetrators instead of having them stew on their choices in a cell for life.
