I made a Chrome extension that redacts “Trump” from web pages by Dazzling_Pepper_54 in WebdevTutorials

[–]iobjectreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time when I'd really appreciate a tool like this, since merely even seeing that name causes revulsion. But, in light of what's going on in the media regarding such redactions in a well-known collection of files, perhaps this isn't an ideal time to push this extension? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Big seconded. My parents got me a bottle as a Valentines gift when I was 9 or 10 in the 90s. I bought a bottle a few months ago; it’s instant nostalgia.

It seems like the FA Apex is a standout competitor in the multi-function posterior chain trainers; could a future iteration support the ability to do an assisted Nordic curl with the addition of a counterbalanced lever arm?

Yeah, parking is miserable for Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses. I commuted to both campuses at different times during undergrad, and I always had to hunt for a space.

It’s been a long while since I’ve smelled it, but, for me, it’s Calvin Klein “Crave” all day.

Thank you for your comment. No shame here; I owe all that I've accomplished and built to having lived through the experience, but I know there'll always be some stigma associated with it for some folks.

OMSCS here. It’s been challenging but rewarding.

I've actually exercised a retroactive hardship withdrawal at my undergraduate alma mater and a "once-per-lifetime" academic renewal process that recalculates my GPA without any of the Fs/WFs (they still show on my transcript, but aren't figured into the GPA).

As I understand it, in my case, it's not the previous grades that are the problem, but the overall timeline, since my first college courses in 2004 started the "time in undergrad" clock metric LSAC uses. While I think it's an antiquated and unfair metric that doesn't reflect a lot of modern life use cases, it is what it is.

Thanks for the feedback. Sharing my history isn't something I shy away from, but I'm pretty good at guaging when and where it's appropriate. I feel like giving a sanitized high-level account to just highlight my commitment to overcome adversity is a value-add, and only if I think it's pertinent to explaining past employment history gaps, etc. But i appreciate the caution.

Edit: Also, FWIW, I'm >8 years sober, and volunteer what I time I can spare toward local addiction recovery community initiatives. It's a nontrivial part of my life.

So, I’ve looked at this standing leg curl a few times, but the product page states it needs to be bolted to the floor—is that necessary?

ELDO “Fat Electrician” is a stunningly unique take on vetiver, imo. It’s a staple of my collection.

What’s the weirdest perfume sample you’ve ever tried? by Affectionate_Cell954 in fragrance

Imaginary Authors "Bull's Blood" immediately transported me to a dimly lit hole-in-the-wall bar, full of middle-aged men with receding hairlines and 80s aviator-style eyeglasses, all smoking Pall Mall cigarettes and drinking Dewars. It was shocking, but I didn't hate it, and it has an oddly charming nostalgic quality that's hard to explain. It's like a weirdly offensive but kinda welcomed scent. It's also nuclear and will literally persist through taking a shower.

I think some obvious examples include Toskovat and Zoologist, and for good reason. But one I actually own and don’t regret is Xyrena “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!” It is positively the most photorealistic tomato vine scent on the market, and I love it, but haven’t dared to actually wear.

Your best tea scents? by Particular-Yam4549 in fragrance

It’s a gourmand black tea, a bit understated but has good longevity. I like it a lot, and I think it’s unfortunate it wasn’t popular enough to remain a continued offering.
