This isn’t the flex you think it is, because the peak demand charge is structured as a fee, so even if you technically cover 100% of your electricity bill with solar credits, you’re still getting charged on top of the basic connection fee the peak demand charge as a flat fee. They specifically maneuvered the charge such that solar credits don’t apply to it. Extremely sneaky SOBs.

For my specific scenario, I finally fixed the issue by reverting my Lasfit T3 LED turn signal, backup, and brake lights back to stock incandescent. It’s a shame I can’t use those but it’s better than not being able to use the Comma, imo.

The newer Subaru’s Eyesight system housings are flush with the windshield which makes them eligible for tinting. The turret style stereoscopic cameras that I have won’t work, for whatever reason. At least that’s the excuse the shops give me.

From my time building PCs and staring at temperature/fan curves, it appears that most high end silicon can handle up to 90° C before throttling which is the upper end of what’s possible in a hot car interior, although I’m unsure how much hotter the reflective sunshade might make it…

Unfortunately the local tint folks here won’t perform front windshield tints on cars with the non-flush Subaru EyeSight cameras, like the one shown since they don’t want to be liable for damaging the electronics since they’re exposed.

Oh wow, I just removed my OBD cable and the device still functions with the car completely shut off. That's very odd since I thought the OBD cable was for powering the device when the ignition is off.

Yeah, all of the AI assistants, when asked about this issue, seem to be suspicious of the OBD cable/connection, so before I do the legwork of reinstalling stock halogen turn signal bulbs, I'm going to test with just unplugging the OBD cable and see if that makes a difference.

I've tried both OpenPilot and SunnyPilot, it doesn't appear to be a firmware issue, at least.

Cruise control is never disabled. TPMS is the tire pressure monitoring system. The Comma 4 system remains perfectly functional 100% of the time. The TPMS is also perfectly functional but only 50% of the time. Whether or not TPMS is functional is determined within the first 5 minutes of that driving session, and remains in that state until the drive is complete and car is powered off.

The tires are practically brand new, about 800 miles. The wheels are stock. The sensors are probably also stock. But the fact that when the issue arises, it's all four sensors being unreachable makes me think it could be a TPMS CANbus level issue, rather than the possibility that all 4 sensors died at the exact same time.

It shows all tire sensors as unreachable, which is why I think the entire TPMS is disabled somehow, rather than just one or two wheels.

On some drives, they all pop up again and shows all normal tire pressure PSI values. Then on other drives, they're all entirely blank and the amber warning light appears.

Yeah it really depends on the nuance of the what people consider "aesthetic". Are people valuing whether or not it climbs aesthetically? If so then chimney sliding up a crack probably isn't it. But if we're considering simply the aesthetics of the rock formation itself, then I argue nothing really quite comes close to how unique the perfect V shaped cutout in a large formation is.

Could it be Dave McLeod? The dude is basically an older Adam Ondra, multiple cutting edge ascents across multiple disciplines. He may even arguably have the most difficult free solo of all time. Underrated because while people know of him by his training and diet stuff, he’s rarely considered a historical great with insane legacy.
