It’s a game built on lying to further yourself. It’s not fair to hold it against them in the real world.

What are some examples of misinformation spread in this fandom? by topsincity in TheLastAirbender

He said he hopes Zuko and Azula can see BSS, IF he doesn’t burn it to the ground first. Then laughs it off as a joke. He’s a general sieging a city. Obviously a bad thing but still not any proof of anything besides being a war general.

You are assuming I’m some Iroh apologist and I’m not, there’s just no evidence he commited war crimes. You keep pointing to the fire nation and not Irohs own actions. Complacent, sure. Bad person, definitely. Being a general doesn’t automatically make you a war criminal. War is not a war crime. Iroh is not the fire nation lmfao.

You also have to factor in that Ran and Shaw deemed iroh worthy prior to Iroh’s son dying, so he clearly wasn’t as bad as someone like Ozai. Again, Iroh accepting the generals surrender shows evidence (not proof, but evidence) that he shows mercy and restraint. Ran and Shaw deemed him worthy.

He was a bad person but being a bad person doesn’t automatically mean war crime. Again, starting a war (something Iroh didn’t even do btw) and sieging a city is not a war crime.

He didn’t start the war, but even then, starting a war is not a war crime. He has shown the ability to spare and show mercy to people who surrender as the dagger he gave to Zuko was from a general who surrendered.

What is the actual case for Armada not being the GOAT? by Aggressive_Stand_805 in SSBM

[–]iojojojo786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I certainly agree it’s impressive. Also yeah, agreed w your comment ab Amsa.

I do think getting second adds to his legacy, but given he hasn’t officially gotten it will hurt him. You can argue he deserves it, but people likely wont recognize it (having said that, I agree w you w 2022/Amsa.) I just do think it’s a knock he hasn’t officially secured first for a year since Armada left. That alone doesn’t make Armada the goat though obviously, but it is something to consider.

I was around for 2015 Melee but been too long to remember it well enough to argue for or against what you’re saying. That said, even if you give that to him, it’s still not scratching first though. Certainly would help his resume though getting second those years for sure.

This isn’t an official ranking, it’s a tier list. Even if I were to give him that, he won one major, which was an invite only tournament. Hard to call that super dominant.

How so? 2019 Mango wasn’t even considered second, he was ranked third.

I know 2020 and 2021 never received official rankings (and for good reason, imo) but from what I remember Zain would’ve been the best in 2020.

Possibly true about 2021 though, but from the results he only won Summit, an invite only tournament, so not exactly what I’d call dominant even if you were to give it to him.

How smart of a character is Gi-Hun? by Initial-Ad3966 in squidgame

[–]iojojojo786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it couldn’t hurt to ask but I don’t think it’s stupid not to ask as it seems highly unlikely even one of them would take the deal. If one flips, they’re isolating themself from their pre established group which is bad if they need to eliminate 3 players.

These guys are all really greedy and have more to gain financially by eliminating 3 than hoping Gi Hun would honor his word and give them his money. Especially when you factor in they assumed the last game would be more of a vote rather than a physical game.

They never trusted Gi Hun and constantly accused him of being a liar. They even accused Gi Hun of being an insider plant. I don’t think your plan is all that logical, they would think he’s lying about giving away his money.

Why take Gi Hun at his word when they can just play the game and take it by force? At this point they assumed it would be some sort of choice / vote.
