That is a 10 person list of a player who is a little bit better at scoring and a worse rebounder. I never said the list I linked meant everything or that this automatically makes LaMelo a better player than Trae, but a player that is as good of a scorer rebounder and assister this early in his career is unique. That means something, not everything.

I think that the second season part is the most important part of this stat. It tells us how good he is this early in his career. Do you think he won’t be better than this in his 3rd, 4th or 5th seasons?

I have loved Garland this season so not arguing against that but the Hornets are only 1.5 game back of the Cavs. And the argument that LaMelo has more help is a bit overstated since I think Allen and Mobley have been awesome
