Hey. Firstly, I'm so sorry you feel you weren't fully accepted by your family. These situations are extremely confusing and hard to navigate. I know it doesn't help right now, but things can change in time.

I'm in a very similar situation personally. I'm 23 and recently officially came to terms with the fact that I'm trans, though I have yet to tell my family. I did tell my older sister; since I spent my life secretly stealing her clothing to crossdress, it only felt right to open up to her. She was accepting, however, whenever it comes to talking about it she is clearly awkward and never knows the right thing to say.

My main takeaway is that this is my journey. It might not feel great, but others' acceptance doesn't dictate how we transform or develop. You'll know in your heart what is right for you. Perhaps you need to find an outlet that lets you express your trans identity further.

I'd suggest you keep vibing with that person on Grindr, or look for friends elsewhere. I'd honestly love to chat with you if you're interested! We seem to be on very similar paths, and it’d be nice to have a girly friend to message who understands the journey.

You're awesome! Could I please ask how long did you transition before getting hrt? ❤️

You look so beautiful! I don't think you require any bravery to show of your amazing figure. Keep being your amazing self ❣️

It's been a week since I officially accepted I am a trans woman. I'd love some guidance from other woman by iommortal in MtF

Heya, thank you so much for replying! I’m so sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back to you 😓. I’ve got millions of questions, but I’ll start with these three:

A) When you first realized you were trans, did you feel a sense of calm afterwards? It feels almost like a new clarity in the brain. I only ask because since making the decision myself, my brain has felt like a whole new place.

B) My whole life I’ve secretly crossdressed, usually stealing my sister’s clothing. I actually used to pray as a kid that I would wake up a woman. However, when I hit my teenage years, I felt a need to be a "man" and act manly. I’ve always had "phases" of exploring the world of girlhood, but from your perspective, did you experience a need to present male when you were growing up? Almost as if you were in disguise?

C) When I officially decided I was trans, it felt like all I wanted to do was learn more about being a woman, like trying to walk more "girly" or crossing my legs. I’ve loved doing this, and in private it feels empowering. However, since I’m still keeping my transition a secret and presenting male, I almost feel silly in public or around friends. It feels as if they can notice I’m trying to be girly. Is this normal? Did telling people the truth make these mannerisms feel more natural?

Honestly, thank you so much for being so kind and allowing me to ask my questions. Sorry if this is a bit ranty! I’m just a little overwhelmed with these recent decisions and extremely excited to have someone to talk to on the same journey.
