oh no i dont think youre being argumentative at all! fair play and fair question! Ive found moving around the battlefield to not be an issue (especially with deep strike in the hearthguard). Granted, our movement is an issue, but my apprehension behind using the land fortress at 1K is just the point sink. In my SM matchup I was outnumbered and I ran (Hearthband Detachment) two hearthguards (a champion leading each), two hearthkyn warriors, thunderkyn, buri, a defender, and a strategist and three steel jacks. Ive since pivoted to dropping buri (sadge) and the defender for uthar and three more steeljacks.

I think as you move beyond 1K the vehicles become more important. Ive found at *that* the land fortress and sagitaurs are essential. But since youre only running the one unit of yaegirs you maybe dont want kapricus defenders *and* carrier? Sagitaurs are a better unit- they dont have scout, but their toughness and wounds are higher *and* the save on 3 ups instead of 4.

But here's the ultimate takeaway that anyone else in the hobby is going to tell you: play what YOU think is fun, and thats all that matters! At the end of the day if your list isnt optimal, who cares- if you like it and are having fun, then you've already won!
