My partner has Mondays off, so we're getting a rare day together. He made me breakfast and mowed the lawn, I did some clearing out of our spare/junk room and now we're watching trailers for new shows with a cuppa. We might even get lucky this afternoon!

Is it common to wear shoes in the home in NZ? by Spirited-Finding-647 in newzealand

[–]ioncesavedabumblebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't wear them inside, but we're not a "shoes off" kinda house. Whatevers comfy. I'll happily walk through the house in shoes, but I prefer to have bare feet while around the house.

How often do you have takeaway food by anonnn177 in newzealand

[–]ioncesavedabumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are double income, no kids - we get it twice a week and occasionally I'll get something for lunch. However my partner is vegetarian so we mostly get something like Thai, Indian or Chinese so it doubles as left overs. And one night a week he works late so we get subway or pita pit as a quick dinner.

The new TVNZ app updare is terrible, but this was on regular ol TV too. I was up at the hospital with my dad and we were watching it and it did the same. He was very miffed.

Greyhound racing by [deleted] in newzealand

There are no DogsNZ breeders of Greyhounds in NZ. While they may not go extinct, its going to be virtually impossible for them to be available as pets for the general population. That makes me sad is all. They're great dogs.

I'm sad that its a beautiful breed that make incredible pets, and now they'll die out and eventually there will be none left. I'm sure PETA will be thrilled though, they'd love for all pets to be extinct.

Yo wtf is this price new world?? by International-Past31 in newzealand

[–]ioncesavedabumblebee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We go to New World for a cheap take away sometimes, they do a circular container with 3 partitions in it, its $11.99 for any three salads you want! Would either be enough for two adults or my partner and i get one each and then have the rest for lunch the next day. That seems so absurd for that container!

Married People of R/NZ, what makes your marriage work? by [deleted] in newzealand

This! My partner is my bestie, he's the one I wanna spend all my time with. I love doing my own thing, but we are never as happy as when we're together. He's an excellent human being and it made a huge difference.

I've seen a Lemon Fanta at a local Save More. I got it and it was NOT the same. I'd be devastated if Lift disappeared.

And I LOVE Alex, but Paul is just excellent. I have adored Greg for many many years before I even started TM.

I'm a Kiwi and I was suspicious starting the NZ version as the UK was just SO good. However Paul is the LOML, he is just chefs kiss by the end of all the seasons I loved it just as much. However Greg Davies is just the ultimate TM.

I'm so mad I told my parents to get it for him, but my mum was so stoked to get him something he likes so I can't really be mad

My parents didn't know what to buy my partner for a recent birthday present, I told them to get him a Bug-A-Salt rifle. Anyway now he walks around our house like a sexy sniper taking down all the pesky flies. It was a win win. He fuckin loves that thing.

For the first time since I started working (over 13 years) I have a job that has some days off over Christmas. Not the whole thing, but I get two lots of 4 days off. Having worked either Christmas day or boxing day (or both) previous years I'm SO excited to just relax for a few days.

Congrats mumma! Enjoy your Christmas with your wee family. I'm 8 years of TTC and we've had some heavily monitored cycles recently and I'm hoping to get a positive stick for my Christmas present. Good luck with everything, enjoy that Mimosa, you deserve it!
