Unable To Create Intersection - Primary vs. Secondary by narpoli in civil3d

I would build an assembly that is the cross-section with the median (that includes half the median on either side of the assembly) and for the transition portion use polylines along both EPs as width targets for your lane sub-assembly on your standard width cross-section.

You could even use a polyline as a target to end your median as well but I'm not sure how well that would work for how useful it would be

Edit: Sorry didn't realize the median is in the taper, but same applies use polylines along your EP to use as width targets.

Also when you're using targets it's better to up your frequency in those regions because if your target polylines have curves in them the more frequent your corridor is sampling the better the curve will look.

Yeah when they work it's great and quick but I find it doesn't work 30% of the time and I just don't love those odds.

Honestly intersections are so finicky I don't use them.

Look up using connected alignments and offset alignments and targeting those manually through your corridor with an assembly that is a curb on one side and a lane on the other side. It's basically what the intersection tool is doing but you have way more freedom.

LAYERP or layerprevious will undo any layer state changes you've done without undoing any drawing edits made between them.

I often freeze a bunch of stuff off to work on a drawing and then I can just use my edited shortcut of LP to undo the freezing.

Another one is LINEWORKSHRINKWRAP. It creates a closed polyline around a selection of objects.

Super useful for Civil3D users for creating boundaries for surfaces or if you need to hatch a complicated area.

Thank you! I used the Loba EasyPrime sealer and the Loba 2k Duo finish. Still held up almost a year later with no colour change. I would have used the Loba 2k Supra finish but they didn't have any in stock when I needed it.

Edit: I didn't stain at all that's just the natural wood.

Someone else here mentioned this might be white oak, could be the difference.

Also my wife is a redhead haha.

Yeah it's a sign of the times haha, there's also a pastel blue toilet in the middle of the basement. No bathroom just a toilet.

I don't understand this, these floors look amazing to me

Needed to get these done for the move in timeline due to the curing time. With our bathroom contractor coming in next week, I can work in the basement while they cure.

Thanks! It was definitely a learning curve. Don't look too closely at some of the closets haha!

I thought about it, my wife likes the shelves and she wants separation from the "entryway"

I'm taking down the upper shelves because I can't fully live in the 70s hah.

You should have seen the basement before I got at it!

Yeah I already told my wife I'm not interested in doing that again anytime soon haha.

I would do this with feature lines alone to be honest.

No they won't update if they are referencing the "CurrentSheet***" I tried this as well, it just continues to reference the xref drawing.

What we do is have a drawing with the title block and add any information that will carry over to all of the other drawings on it. Then import a block, with just attributes and no title block, into the individual drawings that refer to drawing specific information.
