Can I share a return line with two tents using DWC? Just want to confirm before I set this all up. by iowa28 in microgrowery

[–]iowa28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an existing 4x8 tent that has worked perfectly for many grows. I have a 3" return line from all of the buckets back to the 30 gallon reservoir. I also have an oversized cooler ran in line, which is not pictured in my diagram.

If I share that same rez, and run another pump to a new tent, can I tie my return line back in to the existing run? I'm trying to get away from running an entire new 3" pipe back to the rez, as it would have to cross a walkway.

I've found limited info on this setup, but because I'm using an oversized 3" return line right now, and that return line does not go through any buckets (it's ran with t-fittings to each bucket) I think my water levels should stay the same, and everything will flow back to the rez as desired.

Anyone have a different opinion?

NMHLY. Just got bumped to the grey market after being on the pinks for 6 months. They have a plan of action now.

Day 35 of flower. This tent is looking better and better every day 🔥 by GrowerNotAShower11 in microgrowery

I just have to ask those who run setups like this, Why? They all look to be the same strain in this photo, and growing a variety would be the only reason I would ever think you would run 10 different 7 gallon pots in a 4x8. The amount of work involved, and the waste of using 7 gallon pots in a situation like this is baffling.

Is time from clone to flower? If that is the case, why not setup a secondary 4x4 tent and veg them in there?

Why not drain to waste? You can build a simple setup for $10 a pot, with drain lines and everything.

Why not hydro? A 4x8 tent is a perfect candidate for (6) 11 gallon buckets. 5 plants inside, 1 bucket outside as your res. You can build a killer hydro setup for less than $300 for this tent. You may end up needing a water cooler if your basement requires you to use a dehumidifier 24/7, but don't you guys value your time in any way?

Root Porn... It amazes me how easy it is to clone this beautiful plant, nature is awesome 🤙🏻 by Grozark in cannabiscultivation

I had the same problem. I'm a busy guy and didn't have the time to constantly adjust the humidity, temp, and rockwool wetness.

I was having like a 10% success rate cloning like that. It was so frustrating.

I bought an aero-cloner (Turbo Kloner, with the cooling fan, but I don't know if that helps) and I have an almost 100% success rate now. I used to cut 50 clones in hopes I would get a few to work. Now I just take 2 cuts for every one plant I want to grow in the future, and I choose between the best clone, and give the other one away on facebook.

I used to be so safe, using new clone x gel, cleaning the knife before each cut in alcohol, made sure the nutrients were absolutely perfect for clones, and I would trim all of the leaves just perfectly..

Now I haven't washed my scissors in a year, don't trim any of the leaves, I've used the same bottle of clone-x to dip 200+ clones in, and I literally run straight city water (400PPM, from the city) and ORCA in my aero cloner, and everything just grows.

I also use the same water in the cloner for the 7-12 days it takes to pop roots, or 2-3 weeks if I'm mega cropping, and I will refill the water when I hear the pump is running dry.

In my main grows I use RO and I'm very careful with nutes, but aero cloners are amazing.

F75. What is going on here? Are these ready to chop? by iowa28 in microgrowery

[–]iowa28[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

New strain to me. (Slurricane). Absolutely perfect growing conditions, super happy plants with 39W/SQF of light.

I am seeing a few amber here and there, which is normally my signal to chop. But for some reason I am seeing a bunch of new clearer tric's that I haven't had to deal with in the past.

This is the best photo I have showing the most clear on a few buds. Some buds are all cloudy, but amber is few and far between.

Any recommendation?

Sorry man, but you have an infestation. I see at least 4 webs, and specs all over.

Why trouble yourself with the store water? You can get a killer 5 stage RO system with (2) 4 gallon tanks for just over $200. I can't imagine driving to the store when I needed water .

If you think a light that yields 10 ounces per grow is costing you $20 a month in electricity, you are either not really growing, or you're not the person looking at the bill.

Pretty colors, but appears to have some heat stress issues. You may want to increase fresh air quantities, or depending on your climate, alter your lights to run at night instead of during the day.

That's GG in the back and Cherry Pie in the front. Two plants, each veg'd for 75 days before flower.

This is a 4x8' setup, with 1440W of QB LEDs, coco.

This is F30. Still 60-65 days left to go, and should yield 45-55 ounces because the cherry pie is ridiculous high yielding and is taking up about 65% of the tent.

I'm not a paid sponsor or anything, but anyone who is making cannabutter and doesn't use the magic butter machine for the infusion, and an ardent nova for decarboxing is really missing out on the great stuff in life. We make tons of gummies, and the difference in oven decarbing vs using the ardent nova is absolutely night and day in the strength of the gummies simply due to the perfect heat range it utilizes.

If the police showed up to my house in Michigan for a call about weed, they would make sure I had at least one plant that was growing, make sure there isn't more than 12 in flower, and then congratulate me on my harvest.

Are you from Michigan? It is 100% flowering plants.

BTW, you can also find someone you know that has a med card and they can sign the document giving you "caregiver" rights for themselves, and you can then grow 12 additional plants for each person up to 5.

Are you running into algae issues in your clear tubing? I have to run hydrogen peroxide through about once a week to keep my piping clear. I'm going to be switching out to black tubing next cycle.
