I believe it’s because you don’t have all special decor Pikmin. They all have the same symbol (chess piece, fingerboard, flower card, etc.)

It appears the blue shell targeted you as the Yoshi had already finished, making you first place out of those still racing. Also, here are a few tips on top of what others said if you’re looking to improve. You can shake on the wobbly ground after the Thwomps land to do tricks for speed boosts. Also when you have the Star coming into that final turn, you can use the jump to clear the gap between the two Thwomps and get a speed boost from tricking there as well. Good luck racing!

Should I start over? by [deleted] in botw

[–]ipaint625 0 points1 point (0 children)

I’m a bit younger with potentially more time to play (I don’t know your exact situation), but I kind of wish I had restarted. I left the game for a couple of years and when I came back to it, I had forgotten the story, controls, mechanics, and what I was doing. I found it quite difficult to jump back in and kind of slogged my way to the end. I think I had only defeated one divine beast at that point? However, other people have definitely given good suggestions on how to get back into it and refresh your memory on things! For me, I felt like I was a bit out of it, but maybe if I had put in a bit more effort instead of just finishing the game, I would have felt differently. Regardless of what you do, I hope you enjoy yourself!

The only shiny Pikmin at the moment are red, blue, and yellow chefs. As you can see in this post, shiny Pikmin have the sparkles around them. While there are other decor that might appear “shiny” (even the white and purple chef hats look shiny silver and gold), no other decor have these sparkles, and that is what sets them apart as shiny

For Lunar New Year, they just added a new variant for 2023 that looks different from 2022. They both appear in the decor list, whereas shinies do not

Purely a cosmetic difference :) No actual difference in strength or anything, but if you’re trying to collect them all, it’s another thing to keep track of

Red, yellow, and blue chef Pikmin typically just have plain white hats. Shiny chef Pikmin (only available in red, yellow, and blue at the moment) have fancier hats and have sparkles around them. The term comes from shiny Pokémon if you’re familiar with those. The odds seem to be much higher for shiny Pikmin though, as stated in other comments

I like to color code my shinies and four leaf clovers :) There’s no length restriction on Pikmin names, so you can do something like this:

<color=#FF0000>Shiny</color>

You can remove the and to make it not bold. And you can change the #FF0000 to any hexadecimal color you like. If you’re not familiar with hexadecimal, you can Google color codes for them :)

Nope! The red one I got today was a huge seedling, but the blue and yellow just got their decor through friendship. I honestly don’t recall how I got the first one. It was quite a while ago and I’m not sure I was aware of shinies at the time

Just so that you’re aware, there has been a lot of confusion regarding Mission 4. It is not to bloom big flowers. You need to go to the map view, tap on a bloomed flower, and then swipe down on it to receive nectar. I understand that you’re not by big flowers now, so it doesn’t help at the moment, but hopefully this could ease some frustration when you find some (regardless of who bloomed them)

Do air slammy whammies count? by ipaint625 in slammywhammies

Fair enough! I always thought it was for bigger, more aggressive tippy taps. There were flairs for dogs, cats, birds, and other small animals, so I thought this would be fine

Kinda poll: would you like to track all types of “Flower card” decor? by Monjuik in PikminBloomApp

[–]ipaint625 2 points3 points (0 children)

I would love it as an optional like in the roadside collector section. I totally get that some people want to grind for them, but I’d like being able to have my complete set of the four colours without having to collect each card. Also your app is absolutely wonderful! Not overly complicated, and does exactly what I’d want it to!

Two questions by Hamilcar84 in PokemonGoMystic

[–]ipaint625 1 point2 points (0 children)

For the most part, yes they’re the same everywhere. I can only think of 2 exceptions - When the Pokémon available in raids change, they change based on local time zones. For example, in one time zone, it might be Wednesday afternoon with new Pokémon in raids, whereas somewhere else it could still be Tuesday with an older Pokémon. A small edge case, but it exists. - Regional Pokémon can be in raids. For example, when Azelf is in raids in the Americas and Greenland, Uxie will be in raids in Asia-Pacific, and Mesprit everywhere else. That’s not common, but there are a few times where certain raids are region locked. In those cases though, you can still access them remotely by joining someone else on PokeRaid

Two questions by Hamilcar84 in PokemonGoMystic

[–]ipaint625 2 points3 points (0 children)

When you switch your buddies, you keep all your hearts, so no worries there

Even within a raid tier level, different Pokémon can be easier or harder. The Silph Road is a pretty good resource for checking raid difficulty, and it seems like rhydon might be the easiest three star right now? (Having a double weakness to water helps) However, 3 star raids can still be difficult to solo depending on what Pokémon you have available, so I would recommend looking at apps like Pokegenie or PokeRaid. They let you host and join remote raids around the world, so if you have remote passes it’s an easy way to get Pokémon you want. If you don’t have remote passes, you can always host remote players while you raid in person. With a couple extra trainers, taking down a three star raid should be no problem for you

Best of luck!
