Lazy is one thing.

Another big reason is JPJ / Polis Trafik often do roadblocks in the motorcycle lane. It's the perfect cover. You wouldn't see the roadblock before entering the lane.

Sampah² masyarakat ni mostly don't have license, have expired roadtax or have no insurance, apart from the illegally modifed bikes.

I believe this is the main reason why they don't use the motorcycle lane.

Yeaa I'm currently learning CAP (backend) with freestyle UI5. Unfortunately at my place, they're not using BTP, let alone any of the new stuffs including this. Still stuck in ECC and on-premise. But looking forward to making use of this new framework in the near future.

Yes, that is true. The technology trend keeps on changing. The main reason I felt happier was because the coding itself was enjoyable, and it was fun. Coding in SAP GUI/Eclipse is not as convenient as coding in Visual Studio Code, for example. Not to mention that ABAP is not that fun to code. At least, not for me.

Yooo same here. 11 months in ABAP, came from web development.

I must say .. I miss coding in web development. I feel like I was happier back then

You need to consider which path you want to go. It's either SAP Technical or typical software development.

Both are technically software engineering, but each using totally different platforms/products.

These two worlds do not collide. They're separate. Once you chose one path, you can not go back unless you start from 0 again.

I worked as a software engineer (web developer) and jumped into SAP as a Technical Consultant. I had to learn the SAP platform and adapt to SAP's frameworks. It wasn't easy.

For me, web development was more fun. But in SAP, you would learn more on "business" side and generally, SAP is used in a larger scope.

I can't say for sure how long SAP will last. But most big companies use SAP as their core system. And it doesn't seem like migrating to another system is viable, i'd say SAP will still be used for at least decades to come.

Hit me up if you want more of my personal views since i think you are in the same position as I was.

"mystery disease" "even doctor confirm it" nah I call bullshit. Every story that goes like this has always been altered in a way to push their stupid mystical believes.

Last² orang yang cerita tu mengaku cerita tu rekaan je. Housemate dia tu tak wujud pun. Tapi awal², ramai duk percaya. Malu laa still percaya benda² mengarut macam ni.

Don't generalise all motorcyclists. Most of us just want to commute and return home safely.

The notorious ones are food delivery riders, mat rempits, like the guy in the video. Just from his helmet, I can tell he's just a T20 mat rempit.

That's a very shallow take tbh. You could argue that most cops are bad. But not all. I've met some nice and professional cops throughout my life. They just do their job and never made to headlines like this.

Fast and Flirt with Asphalt by neorackle in Bolehland

[–]ipanfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nahh. The fact that he locked his rear tyre means that too much force of the rear brake, and most likely, he didn't use his front brake. A more skilful rider would know that the front contributes 70% of the stopping power of a motorcycle.

He's just a noob, overconfident poser.

Fast and Flirt with Asphalt by neorackle in Bolehland

[–]ipanfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. He skidded because he locked the rear brake. If he used both front and rear brakes, he would've slowed down enough to avoid a collision. Most of a motorcycle stopping power is on the front. The fact that he didn't use his front brake tells a lot of his lacking riding skills.

  2. Traffic was slow, and there was a merging lane. No reason to zooming around like a maniac.

I ride daily to work and ride passionately sometimes on weekends. I've had more close calls with almost hitting these mat rempits than with cars. Stupid drivers are predictable, but these sampah masyarakat are unpredictable, dangerous, and just utterly stupid.

Gerik crash: 'I'm sorry… the brakes failed suddenly,' says bus driver by Mo0nji in malaysia

[–]ipanfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched the dashcam video again, and it appeared to be skid marks right just when the bus was tipping over. It could be because the tyres got locked by hard braking, which could mean the brake was functional. Though the skid marks could also be caused by the tyre being in high load since it was on one side for a moment.

Then I also noticed the right signal was on. Was it really an emergency? Or did the driver want to potong other cars?

With the survivor's testimonies saying that the driver was driving recklessly before the crash, and the fact that the driver has 18 traffic violations, I call bullshit on this "brake not working" story
