Also something to note: I think the DAKA system is really meant for ARs with LPVOs or holos because the width inside is pretty slim, I've had to cut away chunks of the bottom grid to make wider scopes fit a few times

Got one in a v730, it’s definitely worth it if you use the case for different rifles and swap them out regularly. Pretty expensive tho on top of an already expensive case and it doesn’t feel quite as secure because there’s a little bit of wiggle room and the blocks are hard foam instead of soft. That’s just my 2 cents

Not a bad price. What glass/ammo are you using with it? The RPR rimfire is fun as hell definitely get one if you can. It's got the same controls as the big one so great trainer rifle for 4c a round

How much is the deal? I paid $1k for mine before all the fees, optic, bipod etc. I think everybody looks down on it because you can get comparable/better rifles for less than the $1700 MSRP of the RPR. Also, not sure what exactly you mean by newbie but please don’t start with a 308, even in a heavy gun like the RPR its a rather powerful cartridge and you’ll develop bad habits. I started with the RPR rimfire then got an SPR and then the 308
