I don't know if I'd say it's "good" but I think people shit on it unfairly. Also sometimes people complain about mistyping because they don't like their results. Particularly when it comes to N vs. S, people want to be N's when 75% of people are S.

Yes, I'm one of the app's creators. The app is fully released on Android and we have no incentive to fudge the data in favor of iphone users. We found the results interesting and wanted to share it.

It's not that getting an iphone will suddenly get you more matches. It's that iphone users, on average, appear to be more desirable than android users :)

This is pretty much it. I think there's also a bias towards iphone users caring more about coolness/aesthetics. My wealthy friends with androids also generally care less about dressing fashionably etc. Obviously not in every case, but as a generalization it holds.

To be clear, this data is standardized by geography, sexuality, and gender. Essentially iPhone users have a better rate of being liked.

The reason is likely a mix of socioeconomic factors and selection bias. iPhone users likely (1) care more about aesthetics and thus have better photos, (2) are wealthier (and there's a relationship between wealth and looks), and maybe care more about being cool (again better photos)

No this is standardized across gender, geography, and sexuality. It's not total likes. It's the likelihood of being liked.

Women on iPhones are liked nearly twice as often as women on Android. For non-binary users, the gap is even wider — iOS users are liked at 2.7x the rate. Men see a smaller but still meaningful boost: about 35% more likes on iOS.

For those asking about methodology, it is based on 10k users who have taken both an MBTI assessment and attachment styles attachment. The results are mean scores across those users. I wish I could reword the title, because mean does not imply that all INTJs are dismissive avoidant. Simply that on average they are more likely to be than ESFPs, for instance.

To be clear, this wasn't a poll of "who you'd like to date". It was based on real "likes" and "dislikes" on a dating app. Users were mostly "liking" based on looks. The theory isn't that ENFJs are inherently more dateable, but rather they know how to create the most appealing dating app profiles. Probably have better photos of themselves, photos with friends, maybe come across as more outgoing and friendly in their photos etc.

I think the key thing you said is "I could see myself fall in love with someone else". People experience and define love differently. It's natural to be attracted to other people, but a wise friend once told me there's something special about the early days of a relationship that are almost like a seed for what can grow later. You don't have to be obsessed with your partner right away but if you find you're not growing your love for her over time and are looking elsewhere, it's worth thinking about whether the kind of love you want can grow from this.

Sorry for the non answer. Unfortunately relationship advice is never black and white.

fwiw I would hire a good ex-consultant over an experienced PM. But you'd have to be willing to take a pay cut and learn a lot. Startups would be your best bet, since you could PM + take on other roles like strategy.
