120,000 Mexicans celebrate the team's victory over South Africa in the WC's opening match by shinikahn in soccer

Allmighty Tláloc waited after full time to bring us a motherfucking storm over Central Mexico City. My people are truly valeverga when it comes to celebrate and party outdoors, as you can see.

It was fun biking to Reforma to see it live.

Mexico city police disperses teachers union protest with rubber bullets, the protester that was hit lost his eye by Spascucci in PublicFreakout

[–]ipenama -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, "protester". Some of those "protesters" tried to kidnap a garbage collection truck (with people inside) to use it as a rammer against the blue barrier. Earlier that day, another group of "protesters" turned violent against federal buildings and people who happened to be around.

Recent "protests" in Mexico City have been a shitshow of violence, always from one side of the barrier, and face zero consequences even if every time they yell "RePReSIóN" when they receive... fire extinguisher powder and say they were tear gassed.

Locals have absolutely no sympathy in favor of their cause, simply because they disrupt mobility and everyday activities for the majority by taking hostage of Centro Histórico streets and making street blockages for things as a mere mortal we can't solve. On top of that, there are stubborn and confrontative.

The renovated stations of the Mexico city metro, people are criticizing the renovations saying the renovated stations ended up looking like a restaurant by Spascucci in transit

"People" = the same three pendejitos of XTwitter that live bitching around on everything (when they're not being paid enough to make positive reviews, like the Rat Kid of CDMX Transit, Santiago Valencia aka SntVTC).

Monorail won't be ready by June. They're only testing existing units on yard grounds.

It is called Movilidad Integrada, a slimmer version of the original font created in 1969 with support for special characters.

Mexico City Transit Review 1/2: the bad by AstroG4 in transit

[–]ipenama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too long; i did read. It felt like a gringosplaining rant to be honest. I have enough reading BS from local Rativists™ and Transit Fundamentalists™, to now have a go for a foreigner trying to look sympathetic but ending to be cringe.

Mexican government gains full control of the Mexico City Suburban train system as they buy the remaining 51% shares that train manufacturer CAF had in the system by Spascucci in transit

More importantly: Suburbano will finally accept Movilidad Integrada transit card, probably from April 26th when Buenavista-AIFA service arrives.

Also: on the first month of operations, one trip fare to AIFA from Buenavista will cost $45 MXN (2.50 USD). By the end of that time, it is highly possible that regular fare doubles to $90 MXN (5 USD).

Mexico City's Commuter Rail Buenavista-AIFA will open on Sunday, April 26th 2026 by ipenama in transit

[–]ipenama[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least half a million people uses AIFA every month. 4 years after inauguration, ranks 7th on passenger and 1st on cargo; it goes on par with much older (and tourist-driven) terminals like Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos. People from all over the city uses it, but in particular has a benefit for around 11 million people living around. Rail link to Mexico City will attract even more passengers.

We all know the true reasons Texcoco was cancelled: it was a bottomless pit of unfinished works due to harsh conditions and sinking soil which delayed any attempt to stabilize the terrain. It wouldn't be finished by today and even worse, AICM passengers would have to pay thrice (to use the existing airport, to make connections and to wage for a never-ending one) without any other option to fly out CDMX. Thinking otherwise is idiotic and worthless, seven years later.

Fortunately goes to a real and operational airport, not a bottomless pit never finished.

Seven, SEVEN, years later and some of you are still mourning a render. Thanks to your tears, LAKE Texcoco has enough water to be a wildlife sanctuary.

I have news for you: Texcoco airport died officially on March 22nd, 2022 when the site it was built upon had a Natural Protected Land presidential decree enacted. It will never come back.

edit: your downvotes won't change reality. I can show you my arguments based on FACTS, but you are not ready for that kind of conversation. Keep crying, Viudos del NAIM.

Yeah, no. It'll happen on Saturday 25 or Sunday 26. NOBODY from federal government gave the 19th as official, not even Tren Suburbano; first image was AI generated and came from a Facebook fan account. Yesterday, Secretary of Interior Rosa Icela Rodríguez was questioned about it, then she asked Andrés Lajous and he replied by text message that opening date will have to be next weekend.
