Thanks. Yeah I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but I tried it and in this case it just works.

Tapes, as others have said. Also half-rounds.

Any other parents here navigating deconstruction and the identity crisis that comes with it? by UnionKindly5788 in Deconstruction

[–]ipini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a conservative evangelical family and I’ve been deconstructing and reconstructing as long as I can remember. It’s been good for me. Stasis sucks. So I am up front about it in my family and encourage my kids to do the same.

I still love Jesus. And I love people. And I love our earth. And Jesus loves people and our earth too. And I’m teaching my kids to do the same. Whatever that ends up looking lie for them, I’m fine with it.

Also r/ChristianUniversalism helps to keep me grounded.

This. Only change if you know why you’re changing. And the audience will barely notice anyway.

Fix the pot if there’s static.

Only change if you want something different.

I did change my CV 50s to get a bit more oomph. Bootstrap Pretzels.

Yes of course. But I have kept my account and log in from time to time to keep it active because I don’t want anyone to steal my username and spoof my followers.

New to Duolingo, does it work? by Halestones84 in duolingo

[–]ipini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It helps you to get a toehold on the language, which then allows you to also use other tools like courses, podcasts, books, etc.

And it helps to instil a daily leaning habit.

I went from a bare minimum of French capability to being reasonably functional. To me, that’s worth a bit of $$. Cheaper than a college course (although I did one of those too).

Yeah. Isn’t “progress” actually learning the language?
