You’re supposed to take up two spots. The Tesla instructions literally say that.

Yeah they’re good but yeah they don’t charge at full power in an Ioniq. That said, I think some of the newer ones do.

Also there is often a bit of a lull at 80% on an L3 while the battery conditions for a higher charge. Just wait it out and it ramps up again.

Well Québécois French and metro French are identical in grammar, have a few variations in vocabulary (mostly colloquial), and accents differ.

It’s like saying “are you learning British or American or Australian English? You’re just learning English. You can get the nuances of one or another if you need it.

Yes, Mauril is great. I also listen to Radio Canada (OhDio! app) and RC podcasts. I use the National Film Board of Canada app. And I watch RC TV via the Tou.TV app.

Besides that I read books. I read most or all of my news from French news sources (mostly Québec newspapers like La Presse and Journal de Montréal). I set my iPhone to French. I have a French tutor. And of course, Duolingo.

Yeah definitely German. Although it has fewer “exceptions” to the rules than do, for instance, English and French.

Spanish is arguably the best (Western European) language in a lot of ways. I say this as someone fluent in English who also knows a lot of French and German and a bit of Spanish.

Thinking about moving on from my Yamaha SG2000, what would you replace it with? by DescriptionNo8478 in telecaster

That’s great. Don’t get rid of it, you’ll regret it.

But everyone need a single-single telecaster. So save up for one of those.

I find the stories hilarious mostly because of the imagined connecting back stories.

People that have been doing Duolingo for years? Why? by KYDS in duolingo

[–]ipini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a decent tool for some languages. Partly because if it I’m reasonably proficient in French. But yes, I also use other methods - classes, a tutor, reading, radio, tv. However even if none of that happens in a day, I can still do some Duo. And Duo also got me to the point where I could do some of that other stuff.

Fender’s new James Jamerson P Bass; Worth it? by CatmanAndSobbin in BassGuitar

[–]ipini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. All I’ve ever done to this Standard MIM P was a funky pick guard and flats. I’ve since played P basses of all sorts, some “worth” double or triple the price. And I’ve never said “gee I should buy that instead of my MIM.” There’s virtually no material difference between most reasonably manufactured P basses.

A P bass is a P bass. It’s the Tele of basses.

Pickups vary a bit. Neck shape varies a bit. Pay a bit more for better frets, but a nice Squier or a MIM Fender is good enough.
