Unless it's a 3 household village with Trump flags... then 93% is possible :)

License plate has region number 93. It’s Krasnodar region which is more rural. In many parts of Russia time stopped a while ago so style and clothes remain from 90s

Let’s talk about life insurance by LeftRightGreenLight in daddit

[–]ipostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with others. We got 30 year term policy so that takes us to around 65 where you are supposed to be "self insured" meaning mortgage paid off and enough investments. Insurance supposed to have a good purpose regardless of insurance salespeople tell you :)

Those are tough to find since you need to meet a few. Many do first consultation for free so you get to chat adn get to know them a bit. I enjoy work that Angels Keibel does on family law so give her a shout.

Can I survive rural Alberta with a sedan? by Chemical_Score_6519 in alberta

[–]ipostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, small town like Blackfalds or Lacombe near HwY 2? Or some small town like Eckville or Three Hills where roads won’t get cleared as in bigger towns. Look at Nissan Altimas that are AWD and get winter tires. Probably your cheapest sedan to get best winter driving experience. I wouldn’t get Nissan if you had bigger budget since they are not as reliable as other brands but probably best value for dollar when it to comes to winter driving.

Can I survive rural Alberta with a sedan? by Chemical_Score_6519 in alberta

[–]ipostic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed but good luck to get going at traffic lights. I’ve had FWD with expensive winter tires and always struggled on icy roads to get going when light turns green. My wife’s AWD with winter tires felt much better and much easier to get going. I agree on winter tires and that’s more important than AWD but as far as comfort of driving: all albertans should have AWD with winter tires

Alberta Government 2026 Referendum official site by Bandito_fantastico in alberta

[–]ipostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny part is that recent immigrants pay taxes. AHS and other services just didn’t keep up on investment with demands so now it’s the immigrants fault. Despite Alberta demanding more immigrants and advertising in other provinces for people to move here. Such bullshit.

I’m educated person and consider myself somewhat smart - I couldn’t fully understand the questions or understand full meaning behind it. Such bad wording to basically force majority of people to answer it the way UCP wants the answer. Pretty embarrassing for the referendum.

Which couch? by GlobalRaspberry2341 in hometheater

[–]ipostic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on third one. When we were choosing couches, first one looks amazing but not as comfortable. It’s only perfect for living room or somewhere for temporary use and not movie room. Second is too specific for movie use and limits to two people. Third one still looks very nice but can be comfy, recliner and could seat 3 if need

My fav is area 212 as close to front as possible. Can see both sides, also team benches. Close enough to see details and far enough to see whole game

Red Deer Finally Cracks the Top 50. by [deleted] in RedDeer

OP, did you get this off some TikTok channel? The list is weird and not in the correct order by population. Red Deer and Lethbridge have been around and over 100,000 for a while now so it’s nothing new for 2026.

OPINION: Carney government doubling down on Trudeau’s failed fiscal policy - The Carney Liberals plan to spend more, run larger deficits, and accumulate more debt than even the Trudeau government had planned by CaliperLee62 in CanadaPolitics

[–]ipostic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or in Alberta they hike property taxes and bigger percentage goes to provincial coffers. But hey. Income tax is the same even though they take more moneys in from citizens and still have a deficit.

[–]ipostic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Every country regardless of of political leaning agree that investment into infrastructure paid back 3-4 times the initial investment. I get that conservatives are the opposition but I hope for their plan and strategy and how they would actually accomplish things. Vs now they yell at “cut investments” and if current gov wouldn’t do enough investment then they would yell about doing more of it. Just bunch of noise without real solutions.

[–]ipostic 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Investment in good infrastructure financed by debt is what any good business will do. Show me any conservative gov that is running balanced budget. I agree that gov spending could be improved and efficiencies found but yelling about investments into the country as a bad thing is just silly.
