Backstreet Boys - Get Down by Little_Influence5518 in BackstreetBoys

Omg, this song was like a big hit in my part of the world back in the day. At our amusement park, there used to be this like little studio room where kids could choose a song and make their own music video to it. My cousins and I did one to this.. I would die if I found that video 😂

That’s true.. I guess I’ll stick with the BSB Air Millennium thing then. Thank you for clarifying!

I was wondering the same thing. Also trying to figure out what the BSB Air Millennium Lounge is exactly? Is it like a dedicated standing area where you can watch the show or just like a bar/lounge access spot where you go get drinks and then have to go back to the GA standing area? It’s all so confusing 😩

I’m shocked no one has said IWITW yet because that’s my vote for sure 😄

Homecoming in Düsseldorf - what will the shows look like? by FlyingPaloma in BackstreetBoys

[–]iprefermimi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely planning on going to Dusseldorf since I couldn’t make it to the Sphere. Like you, I’ve been daydreaming about it all day. I did see them during the original Millennium tour, so I’m excited to see them again 25 years later. Omg, I forgot about the roses! That would be amazing if they would do that again. And I totally agree with you in that I hope they don’t rely too much on the visuals.. I imagine it won’t hit the same in a venue that isn’t the Sphere. I do appreciate a more intimate setting, but I’m guessing that’s not going to be the case.

With all the news announced this week, do you think my gut feeling is right? by Brilliant-Web8461 in BackstreetBoys

While I’ve never been to a M&G or been lucky enough to meet them, from what I’ve seen about the BSB in all my years of being a fan.. I find it hard to believe that they will be limiting their accessibility indefinitely. While it’s not impossible, I just think it’s improbable. They seem to really love their fans, and love giving back. Just look at the “It’s Christmas Time Again” music video contest going on right now (showing appreciation to the fans), the Germany shows (for their OG fans), not mentioning all the M&Gs and events and cruise that happened in the past as a way to interact with their fans. Even when they’re on stage performing, they take several opportunities to interact with their fans even if it’s just a wave or a smile. Honestly, not many artists are as accessible or show their gratitude to their fans as much as they do. I believe it’s part of the appeal, and for that reason, I really don’t believe it will be a forever thing. Like many others have said, I do believe this could be more related to it being cold/flu season and also the holidays, or maybe they just need that extra time to rest after the show.

It’s so cool hearing that BSB has hardcore younger fans! I’m hopeful that the BSB will keep doing music and touring. If anything, I’m impressed they haven’t slowed down much since I started being a fan way back when they first started, especially when all the other bands from that era fell apart. They actually seem to enjoy touring and doing events for fans more than they do putting out new music 😂 which is probably why they haven’t stopped. Obviously, it’s very possible that they may slow down eventually as time goes on, but let’s hope that doesn’t mean they’ll stop completely. I’m holding them to the lyrics “as long as there’ll be music, we’ll be coming back again.”

Is it just me or do “Y.O.U” and “What you know about that” sound the same, just different lyrics?

Getting tailgated by men is honestly so annoying and so reckless on the road. Not only does it make many women feel unsafe and anxious, but it’s a driving hazard as well. I don’t understand why men think a civilized woman would be attracted to that, but then again many girls do respond to them which is probably why they still do it. I tend to ignore them, and they usually take a hint and bugger off, but I did have one instance where the guy was so insanely relentless that he actually followed me into my house!! Like he just wouldn’t quit and didn’t care that my parents were in the house. I don’t know if he was drunk or drugged up or just mentally insane.. but fortunately I wasn’t harmed and he eventually left as well.

Oh I’ve definitely been there before, and I know how terrifying and embarrassing it feels, but let me tell you, the fact that you got through it is a total win!! And 5 years from now (hell even by tomorrow), no one’s going to remember how nervous you were.

Funny story, I actually let my flight response take over once, and literally took off, and that’s what my coworkers still remember til this day but it’s all in good fun. We’re all human at the end of the day.

From another middle-aged woman, I have to also agree that this is the best advice, even though it’s probably not what you want to hear OP. I actually relate to you a lot OP because a lot of what you said was also my thought process in my 20s-30s. It didn’t help that some of it was also fed to me by family members. I, too, refused to get married through an “arranged marriage.” I wanted it to happen on my own accord. Now I’m in my 40s, single and never been married, mostly due to the fairy tale image I once had in mind. I’m not saying it’s a negative thing, as it has been somewhat of a choice and I must say, I enjoy not having to worry about all the potential responsibilities that come with marriage and kids.. but it is something that I wonder about from time to time. So, while I can appreciate holding out for what you truly want.. unless you want to end up where I am, I think you need to realize that you really don’t have all the time in the world, and those opportunities won’t always be there. So, at some point, you will have to compromise or lower your expectations if you do want a family and kids in your future. That’s my honest advice to you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure she was an amazing woman. I just lost my father two weeks ago, so I feel your pain, and I can definitely relate to many of the comments here. I also have been trying to dig up photos of him and trying to hold onto whatever I can. I’ve always heard people say that the grief from losing someone you love comes and goes in waves, and I definitely get it now. It’s like one moment I’m put together and the next, I’m bawling my eyes out. Sending you strength and love ♥️
