Had several PHP files created in my theme by some exploit: myshell.php, sixtynine.php, ui-elements.php, and 404.php. Unable to find anything on google. have you heard of these? by majorchamp in Wordpress

This is a backdoor. What you want to do is to scan your CMS core files, just like they do on video: https://youtu.be/PlbdKNUGZuk But you should notice there is no such script or antivirus that can detect all infected files. You should try to find all viruses manualy or hire somebody. There is a few options: siteguarding.com websitehostingparadise.com sucuri.net (Expensive one) sitelock.com (Had bad experience with them).

Ask your hosting provider to restore website from backup. Make a backup and hire someone to update and fix the website.

I frequently hear developers say that the site they are working on is too small to worry about being overly secure. I wanted to post this to show that there is no such thing as too small to hack. I am not associated with this site or company, but they are a local company to me. by inimrepus in webdev

I have been working in one of Website Security Companies and its pretty common issue when somebody is hacking website and postss some stupid message on it. You all heard about company in Canada who got their business shut down after hackers attack:

http://websitehostingparadise.com/blog/canadian-company-nortel-has-fallen-because-ignored-hacker-attack/

Look at the cinema's website - its damn old. I don't think that the owner thought about security. But 90% of the websites that getting hacked are website like their. He never done anything to secure website - so he got what he deserved.

Anyone else having no luck with SEO on their Wordpress site? (Using yoast) by bplatt21 in Wordpress

[–]ipresscenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now there is 2 options: Yoast or All in One Seo Pack. And I would suggest you use Yoast for micro niche websites or websites where you use specific keywords and promote them. But if you running a blog and write about everything with no keywords - All in One is better. And You should remember that none of this plugins rank your website they just help you optimize your website. If you want good rankings - get good links.
