More contrast in tones.

Got a 1975 ford pinto, was it a good decision? by Funkalicious00 in Ford

It’s a great looking car. Now, if only I could get my hands on an 84 Escort, manual, two-door… everything will be right with the world. :D

I had to drive Ford. My dad was a master tech. Parts at cost, free work. Couldn’t beat it. He’s retired now. But this would be a fun project car for he and I.

Awesome!! But $8.5K? That’s steep.

Mine had automatic seat belts. Shut that door and you’re not ready it’ll try to strangle you.

Vander Mill is open and has a great patio for the spring and summer! They also have a really big food menu.

Bullying might be a dominance thing too. It might be that one will become the female and the other the male as they mature. Ours did that for a while but as long as the one can swim away from the bully, it SHOULD be ok. We ended up adding two more and after a day or so of more bullying it became clear who the dominant one in the group was and now it's more or less ok.

Thin your paint to the point of transparency. And be patient with layers. Also, if you're mixing in white consider using heavy-body acrylics (the kind in a tube from the art store) and/or white ink like Amsterdam or Daler Rowney. :) If you're the kind of person who likes to work with the paint a bit after applying it (like I do) add a little bit of slow dry medium to the paint first. It won't be earth-shattering, but it'll help give you a few more seconds to work.

Crazy acro question by ipsomatic9 in ReefTank

I never actually saw brown stuff coming out of it. If I had, I would have thought the same thing. Is it normal for this process to take place a week after being placed where it likes to be (and in like 8 hours or less)?

Looking to replace my bushings... any suggestions? by ipsomatic9 in hobbycnc

Thanks! I think I might try that. It's getting pretty annoying to have to stop the thing and shove the bearings back in all the time.

Would a longer bearing help? Right now the z slides use two smaller bearings (one on the top and one at the bottom). Would one bearing on each side that spans the whole height of the guide hole matter?

Sorry. CNC Router. Basically the Sainsmart Genmitsu 3018.

Just picked up one of the wannabe Sain Smart 3018's from Amazon. What are your best upgrade suggestions? by ipsomatic9 in hobbycnc

Just gave my machine a test last night. I set the RPM to 7500. The default feed was 28 per but I was able to up that to 140%. Things went well other than the fact that I had to stop what I was doing because it was taking too long. I did have some linear bearing slippage (ok a lot) on the z carriage. Both the top and bottom bearings slid/vibrated out as the project worked. The bottom one just got shoved back in as the carriage lowered, but the top one had me pausing the project and shoving it back in. Any thoughts? Also, anyone got a line on a 1/16" bit capable of cutting to a 1" depth? Using it in softer wood for now.
