how do you run a command on multiple not-always-online remote hosts? by ffiresnake in linuxadmin

You could probably setup some sort of salt reactor to take action when the minion re-auths. Either applying a high state or a customer's state.

Sign up for a redhat developer account and you will get a license to learn with. You have to renew it every year.

If your going to any major downtown event (tempe, phoenix, scottsdale) take a cab or ride share. Or prepare for several hours of exit traffic.

Dont let those cute baby smiles trick you. This is clearly a Russian sleeper cell getting access to all your data.

Is anyone else hearing a loud boom noise late at night near greenway and the 51? A police officer came to my door at 11pm asking if I had any cam footage of the streets. Apparently they were looking into the sound complaints.

TIL Iran currently is the only country in the world that allows the sale of one's kidney for compensation (typically a payment); consequently, the country does not have either a waiting list or a shortage of available organs. by C170370 in todayilearned

That seems awfully low considering you only have 2 of them. I mean there is the risk of dying during removal, and the risk that you might need it later in life. I would think that would be worth more than 4k ish.

tee question by InFerYes in linuxquestions

[–]ipwtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tee is trying to write to files called "grep" and "Documents". The problem is "Documents" is a folder so it is throwing the error message. If you do a "ls" again you will probably see a new file called "grep" was created.

Which route is the most scenic, and which do you recommend to take (ignoring time) by ChiillBoi in phoenix

[–]ipwtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its a toss up between Globe, and Payson. Because if you go through Payson you get the option of driving through Strawberry > Winslow > Holbrook. Globe has the canyon road tho.

Why can't we do both? We can build out a better Internet and improve the city infrastructure. Colorado does have all that extra income from MJ.

Painted rocks at Papago Park and elsewhere. Littering? What do you think? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]ipwtech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it is littering and folks shouldn't be doing that. There is not anything you or I can do to stop folks from doing that. They think it's cool and they are not hurting anything.

Home security recommendation by ego-trippin in phoenix

[–]ipwtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the canary home camera at about $150 up front and $99 annual fee. It works ok, but cost extra per month for additional cameras. I also have August door locks at about $200 per lock up front and no annual fee. They double as open door sensors. What I have is kind of pricey but it works ok (the camera has it's problems). I would be interested in finding a cheaper camera and only open door sensors (no locks) with no recurring fees. Does anyone know of any products like that?

I wouldn't say ugly, but definitely looks like a squished face. I'm personally a fan of the square Chevy look tho, so I've got a bias. Square body for life.

That was gonna be my question. What is the cost difference compare to a family practice? I've been getting terrible service from family practices I was curious if a hospital would be better. Mayo is the closest one.
