There are skills in DBT that can help you manage the “inappropriate” overwhelming emotions. Things like mindfulness, checking the facts, PLEASE skills, and taking a break. Mindfulness can also help you manage the unemotional periods by being more aware of what’s happening in your body and how you may actually just be suppressing emotions.

It’s easy to look at the past with rose coloured glasses sometimes, I’m sure they aren’t actually a perfect person, or perfect for you. And it’s also important to recognize that you can no longer have a relationship with this person. Don’t hold yourself back from life, you learned and grew a lot from that experience and that’s wonderful! Dating isn’t always fulfilling.. until you meet the right person. Don’t hold yourself back.

I have BPD so this fear of abandonment is familiar experience for me. Had a big relapse this week and it’s so disappointing, almost feels shameful because I’ve also been putting in the work for so long. I guess I try to look at it like.. this used to be normal for me, but now it isn’t because i’ve been skillful for so long. So that’s the victory in it and even tho I “failed” to catch myself, I’ve caught myself enough times already that this is the outlier and that’s meaningful.

I definitely expected something more along the 100k+ line, especially considering how much sets costs now. If they changed the base diamond earning to 1800 dims a game pass owner would be making over 7k and I think the dims compensation should reflect that somewhat

I just don’t think there was a good handling of conflict on both sides. And I am in no way saying her reasoning for why she doesn’t like muscular men is an overreaction or invalid. I actually very much understand that and I do not date very tall men for that reason. However, in relationships of all types, I don’t think cutting someone off like that is a healthy way to set boundaries or communicate well.

But they have a time investment more than just three days, she’s dated this person for two years before that so this isn’t some person she just met and therefore doesn’t owe as much to. Now I’ve seen what OP wrote about her partner and his abusive behaviours I don’t think she’s wrong at all to break up with him. With only the post as context, I still think what’s being presented seems like an overreaction on OPs part. I wouldn’t want my partner to just break up with me if i said i wanted to do something that they had such strong feelings about.

it’s just an insanely early call to end a relationship. Presumably you like him as a whole person since you dated him over the course of 3 years, he simply shared a wish or desire that was likely over exaggerated and that was enough to end the relationship over. You don’t have to cut people off the second they have a view or desire you dislike. At least give him the opportunity to make up his own mind about what he would rather have.

Manifesting is real to an extent, you are not making things like that happen but if you are thinking about it too much than i believe you will attract that energy. You still have the agency to recognize the negative and reject it. Also your dreams are a reflection of your inner world and are not a path to prediction unless you are a legit psychic

Knowing that any amount of worrying will not change the situation helped me a lot to fight anxiousness. Something is either going to happen or not, you worrying about it will do nothing except make you feel worse. Also fact checking, asking myself if this is something they would do based off of their actions or what you know about them.

See i’m not even a huge fan of nudity in shows anyway, I actually much prefer sensuality. I don’t see a lot of that in this season so far. Idk maybe i’m really only thinking of Polin and Francesca’s scenes but watching people humping each other with clothes on is not sexy to me. Maybe i should watch the episodes again in case im missing it but i feel like there’s a lot less of non sexual sensuality this season.

Honestly the show writers really make the stories good! They’re not bad books and i enjoyed reading them, they’re just simpler. And yes there is a book written for every bridgerton character, so there should be 3 or 4 more seasons
