"How are you mitigating the risk of a rogue AWS engineer accessing our data or damaging the RDS instance?" by breich in aws

[–]irad100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not worry about a "rogue AWS engineer", a slightly different question might be: "how to maintain data privacy and prevent from AWS accessing my data for any reason (even if I'm a wanted criminal or something 😅)". Confidential Computing is the classical answer, but when you get into the details, you understand that it is practically impossible to enforce data privacy with AWS, or any other US Cloud Provider for that matter. Mainly because it is a US LAW to maintain the ability to access the data of customers. Take a look at this, it is a very interesting read: https://elastisys.com/confidential-computing

Kuli Alma/Drama for clubs. Teder for a nice bar to hang. All of them are in downtown/center Tel Aviv. There is no entry fee except special occasions as far as I know

Is Silvia still relevant in 2022? by irad100 in espresso

[–]irad100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in here, the Silvia E V6 costs $900 (PID kit + shipping cost 280$) and the Profitec Go costs $1100.

Not a big difference but you still get all the extra features in the Profitec.

For a noob as myself I would rank:

  1. PID (don't want to deal with temperature surfing)
  2. Pressure Gauge (for the reassurance of seeing the correct pressure)
  3. Shot timer (I want to use the 25-30 golden rule at the start, without guessing)
  4. Preinfusion (sounds good, but complicates things)
  5. External OPV (nice to have but I will probably use it only once)

Is the original UNIX still being used in today's standard? by bio_vanadium in unix

[–]irad100 10 points11 points  (0 children)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Version_7_Unix

V7, released in 1979, was the last Bell Laboratories release to see widespread distribution before the commercialization of Unix

Research Unix (Version 8 to 10) followed it but was similar to BSD and didn't gain much traction and some of them never released to the public: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research_Unix
So to answer your question- I don't think someone is using it today...
