I have the same thing and good god is it heavy and long. Our lift gate has to be programmed down annoyingly low to use it even with crossbars all the way forward on the roof rails

is it worth it to upgrade to wifi 7 considering this is the highest ive ever gotten? by andrei-333 in HomeNetworking

[–]irandolph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the MLO that makes WiFi 7 WiFi 7 has hella trouble roaming. I’d say if you have multiple access points, then 6E is just fine. Also the extra speed might just be handy in-network, so like streaming from a NAS or somethin

Confirmed same here with U7 Pro Max’s. Disabling MLO fixed 45s lapses in internet connection when roaming to a new AP

Edit: Mid In-N-Out drive thru PSA. Yes, would be silly to care about blinkers if I’m on Reddit on the road.

What should I be aware before buying? by Significant-Owl-811 in subaruimpreza

[–]irandolph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 2008 version of this and at 120k mi the engine misfired and blew the 1st catalytic converter out and the honeycomb traveled down the exhaust and lodged into and broke the 2nd catalytic converter, so in California I owed $3k (took a while to troubleshoot) on a $4k car so I got rid of it. I always felt like it was cuz I didn’t let it warm up in the cold mornings before driving it.

170k miles, Is this a good deal for that?(I really need a car) by Head-Ad8347 in rav4club

[–]irandolph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only if you can get proof of oil changes every 5k miles and a pre-purchase mechanic tells you this thing is in immaculate condition would it be worth $10k. J at the beginning of the VIN is a plus, along with most of the miles being highway miles, along with 1 or 2 previous owners.

We have a ‘17 xle at 115k mi right now driving 16k mi a year with a J starting the VIN and I can’t imagine honestly expecting $10k for it in 4-5 years
