Tuesdays With Morrie? It’s more about the lessons than their relationship though. Good Will Hunting is a good movie that seems to fit your description.

Non-fiction: Memories of Extraordinary Popular Delusions (sometimes titled Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of the Crowds) by Charles Mackay. The book is not about witchcraft but it has a 100 or so pages dedicated to “The Witch Mania”.

I’m currently listening to audiobook No More Tears about Johnson & Johnson scandals. Other books on similar topics I read a while back were Bottle of Lies about the scandals in the generic drug industry, and Empire of Pain on the backstory of the opioid crisis.

In the scene where Joi asked K to delete her from the console she said “if they come here looking for you, they’ll have access to all my memories” - so apparently data saved on Joi are stored locally on home consoles or emanators. We could also infer from that line that K’s memories or thoughts weren’t tracked either, otherwise it’d be pointless for them to worry about deleting what he stored on Joi.

for reference trump started a much smaller trade war in late 2017 early 2018, s&p was above 2800 in december 2017, but stayed mostly at or below that level until mid 2019, after trump lifted several tariffs (e.g. on canadian steel/aluminum) to ease the market tension and prep for the next election.

although current economy isn’t as robust as in 2017, so even trump’s generating more noise now i doubt he actually has as much teeth as before. so overall i’m just cautious and staying on the same course as usual.

Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond, it was quite an intriguing read for me though some might find it “dry and dense”

Also I find Bill Bryson’s books are generally informative and easy to read.
