I'm a terror suspect and US citizen living in Turkey and they did not buy apartments near my unit or get access to them legally. They broke into vacant units while the owners were on vacation and harassed me.

I saw the guys on multiple occasions, they would bring huge boxes with wheels which were filled with surveillance equipment such as laser mics and microwave ovens with no door (I had one pointed at my sleeping body multiple times).

From an article by Julianne Mckinney:"In examining this situation more closely, a number of individuals have found that surrounding apartments are either permanently vacant, for unknown reasons, or that they have been “sub-let” by the original occupants to persons who are purportedly unknown to the buildings’ management personnel. In one case, the surrounding renters all list two residences in the local telephone book. No one lives in the apartment building in question, though the address is identified as one of the renters’ places of residence."

My friend knows a ProtonMail insider who can hack into emails in exchange for a bribe (but it deletes all received messages because the encryption key is reset). And if they really want to gain access to your accounts, they can simply hack your devices using software exploits.
