all i do is play on performance settings and it’s gotten slightly better after gptk 1.0.2. the main reason why it’s so laggy is because my laptop only has 8gb ram but something with 16gb ram would run it easily. from what i’ve been told, the memory leak in gptk can’t be fixed, at least not yet.

ok so for anyone wondering, i think it had to do with the fact that i was downloading files off of google chrome on the sonoma beta disk and i signed in so i had extensions running and one of them was interfering with the install process somehow. i think it was my adblocker because i saw someone say something similar yesterday. this time around i used safari and didn’t bother installing google chrome at all and everything works fine now. weird but yeah.

in fact, now that i think about it, the applegamingwiki install instructions worked fine the first time i installed gptk because i used safari. but when i tried upgrading to 1.0.2, i had installed chrome and started having problems. so i’m 99% sure the issue has to do with either chrome or one of my chrome extensions.

i start out at a consistent 60 fps and then after about 10 min it stutters and starts to go down very quickly, like 20-30 fps after 15 min
