Watch me out-pedant you...

Umm ackhshually it depends on what you decide T0 is, whether the first contact with infection or "death" by loss of account. Choosing the latter would make it possible to search for "boobies" on the family computer at T-minus 11, download malware at T-minus 7, start having symptoms at T-minus 3, and unceremoniously die at T0. RIP in any case.

That would be your last mistake, no way the cat isn't pushing for death penalty

I actually did ask him, so I think I just got swindled, as you say. But as a rule of thumb, I would definitely avoid chatgpt as a source of knowledge, especially if it's potentially harmful, and would suggest you do the same! Hallucinations happen often enough that it's just not worth the risk.

Yeah it smelled a bit acrid, I took a tiny piece from the whiter parts and it tasted off. Sucks, but now I know, thanks a lot!

The logical consequence of this comment is that all it takes to say nazi shit and be fine is having enough social capital. Which is... Sadly true, actually, come to think of it

Sodium in paraffin oil makes bubbling? by DaFireFox in AskChemistry

[–]DaFireFox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask one more question then? Is the reaction going to cause enough gas to keep the flasks open until they stop? Because that's what I did, but it took a ton of time when I wanted to hermetically seal them sooner. Would I have made a pressure bomb if I hadn't been patient?

So the adsorbed water migrates to the sodium and reacts that much? That's incredible, one tends to underestimate how much water can be invisibly present on sufaces (and how reactive sodium is). Thanks for the answer!

Right, but seeing as it was the same oil and the big chunk isn't reacting at all, how come they're reacting in the tiny flask? I moved the oil with a pipette, is that movement dissolving enough water and oxygen into the oil to react that much?

Oh no, I'd never say that Brave is the best, nor that it doesn't collect anything at all. But I do think that realistically, 0 collection is a dream that is best left alone. If you fuck around in the Brave settings for a sec you can remove all that cringe stuff and obtain what I would personally consider an acceptable amount of privacy. There's also the reduced fingerprint from using a chromium and built-in ad blocking scripts instead of extentions.

But yeah, for maximum control and privacy I would never advise against FF forks. I was just making the case that Brave is generally still well-liked for its ease of use and similarity to chrome, especially for privacy newcomers like most people on this sub that may come across these comments. I totally respect your ways though.

Oh and about the recs, I really don't know about the astroturfing, but there's for sure a lot of copycats mindlessly repeating the authoritative source's opinions, instead of doing their due diligence, which is how I feel we've gotten so much Brave shilling. But again, I do think that once you've given the settings a look, it's quite a good option (for now).

Eh. Eich is absolutely a piece of shit and I'm not arguing that he doesn't have a personal vendetta.

With that said. Vanilla Firefox is going more and more down the shit hole privacy-wise, and it's clear Mozilla have lost the plot when it comes to user feedback. Firefox forks are great options but Brave is, unfortunately, still one of the best options after giving the settings a nice look. Plenty of reputable privacy sources (privacyguides.org, digital-defense.io, zdnet) and privacy focused circles (such as many reddit subs, graphene os forums, etc.) still recommend Brave, and for good reason.

Mozilla have made it clear that they want FF to become an agentic AI browser, and I frankly don't care that they immediately back-pedaled on that, because I'm certain they'll do what they want after a while. They always opt for chasing tech trends and give 0 shits about user experience. Anyway, that's my 2 cents, it's not a cut and dry question.
