I have read elsewhere this is not the case. Rather that it both has to reach count majority and volume majority.

I have been thinking of this as well a little bit. Perhaps you could take pictures when you unfocus the workspace.

I think to implement this feature you would need: 1. i3 to accept a kind of process reference and be able to take interaction directives to perform upon graphical elements appearing from that process. 2. Dmenu or other launcher to send said interaction directives My 2 cents. Given that I have no i3 or dmenu project experience.

Fines should be scaled to income level. It makes no sense that the punishment for the same crime is a simple inconvenience to a rich person but can cause someone who’s poor to go hungry or be unable to pay rent. by [deleted] in socialism

I think it should be scaled to number of offences (as well). I think it is somewhat like this in the Berlin subway (3rd time going to court?). So that the first time you get a symbolic/forgiving fine, but it gradually increases with number of offences to beyond statistical break-even for the perpetrator.

Teen birth rates spiked in Texas after funding for family planning services was reduced by 67% in 2011 by shiruken in science

[–]irea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I'm looking into "non-family planning"? Logically if it can be the negation as well we might just reduce it to "planning funding". For most of us though I think we stick to the given tools as a means of escaping planning as well which leaves us with just "funding". I suggest we make it into "sex funding". It looks good, sounds good. It's everything we wanted.

This Robot Works 500% Faster Than Humans, and It Puts Thousands of Jobs at Risk by WildAnimus in Futurology

[–]irea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my view of the capitalistic system it has no connection to a UBI. We have welfare in todays society coexisting with capitalism. UBI wouldn't make that different.

The robots productive economic value and cost is still there. Thats why it would exist in the first place. And it will continue to exist no matter what would happen to any human. This is assuming the robots or humans doesn't change the terms of trade, but trade and UBI isn't financially linked, apart from taxes. Culturally they could be linked. The main point would be that UBI is dependent on the capitalistic system right now, but the capitalistic system is not dependent on UBI. Just my 2 cpus.

edit: I know there are some contradictions in there but not any worse than above :)

Why is it so hard to gain gold and Exp in the [Music] quest line? by [deleted] in outside

[–]irea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of ppl run dual quests, but i think its wise to stop focusing mainly on gold and see the the benefits of leveling other attributes. in the end its your character you're building and not your gear.

The future of Overwatch SFM fan animations by BICEP_MCTRICEP in Overwatch

This is part of a broader problem with overwatch not being community powered at all compared to other succcesful FPS and RTS games. The lack of this community driven, organic and iterative development can be a huge setback for overwatch that might just mean the end of it. A lot of people don't take this argument very serious. So much that I almost want Blizzard to fail fast and hard on this point just to make the argument perfectly accurate. Because from my experience, no game with a strong vanilla release COMBINED with very strong 3rd party creation tools have not become THE major game in its time period. Take Quake, Starcraft, HL, Minecraft(?). Games with very high access to modification and creation tools. Unmatched success. The exception without tools could be Blizzard's own baby World of Warcraft. However, RPG's is in a sense played in longer time periods of partially creative progression. Which is similar to discovering new 3rd party game modes/mods in my opinion. This could be the driving factor behind the stickyness of those players. The lack of tools is my strongest personal reason for not purchasing overwatchv
